  1. The options I have on the Lubuntu CD are: Install Install-free install-powerpc64 install-free-powerpc64 oem oem-powerpc64 cli cli-free cli-powerpc64 rescue rescue-powerpc64
  2. I think there may be an Ubuntu one too. I'll check, but I'm not sure.
  3. I have the original discs burned for this machine. Not sure if they work, or if I will need Ubuntu.
  4. So I have an iMac G5 running Debian Linux. It's set up so that it automatically logs into the root account whenever powered on. The issue here is that I was given this machine by my Uncle a few years ago, before that he had it as a project machine. Both of us have now long forgotten the password. I want to reset the password, but I cant seem to find anything about GRUB, and the last time I tried I think I messed up the graphics. I was pressing a certain key and some green lines and spots appeared. Anyway, my main concern is the password. I have full access to the root account, but can't get into GRUB and don't have a second account or password. Any ideas?
  5. I think what happened was that I had downloaded a corrupt ROM or something along those lines. I was very carefully following the steps and the ROM was for the correct model.
  6. I have a Galaxy S1 here that I keep as a spare phone. My sister just broke the LCD on her phone, and she was going to temporarily use this phone instead. My plan was to upgrade this phone to Android 6, but in doing that, this happened. (see attached image) I have no idea what this means or how to fix it. All I know is that I can't get into any menus or bootloaders to master reset, it won't go to android, and that it is completely unresponsive to any input. I quite like this phone, so please help!
  7. I found these pages, which seems to have what you are looking for. https://www.aliexpress.com/store/group/RU-100-Super-Discount/3084031_512359279.html?spm=2114.12010609/itm2home-2.nav-list.7.42057477ph5Nvl https://bben.aliexpress.com/store/group/game-computer/1454570_512286908.html?spm=2114.12010612.0.0.7d9e5478dOLRv5&origin=n&SortType=price_desc&g=y https://www.aliexpress.com/store/2800125/search?spm=2114.12010615/itm2home-1.0.0.fb3b19ebkZGN2B&origin=n&SortType=price_asc Hopefully you find here what you are looking for.
  8. This is the second installation of Windows 10 64 so far, both of which I also tested on other machines, and the sound worked fine. That's what I was thinking, but the audio options show that nothing is connected here, and that audio should be goung to the speakers.
  9. Unfortunately, this has made absolutely no difference.
  10. A quick side note, these are inside the €60 mark, so they should be cheap enough (hopefully less than £50)

I have a different keyboard made be AJAZZ and I can say it is absolutely awesome. Enjoy!
  12. There are some cases available out there that look much better, in my opinion. Here is a link to my current favourite. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Golden-Field-Silver-Fox-Computer-Case-558-261-531mm-Aluminum-Alloy-ATX-M-ATX-ITX-liquid/32810229666.html?spm=2114.search0104.3.1.15082911yWONZb&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_4_10152_10151_10065_10344_10068_5722815_10342_10343_10340_5722915_10341_5722615_10696_10084_10083_10618_10304_10307_10820_10821_10302_5722715_10059_100031_10103_10624_10623_10622_5722515_10621_10620,searchweb201603_2,ppcSwitch_7&algo_expid=c3754765-b941-4a5e-bb49-f40fa1bea78c-0&algo_pvid=c3754765-b941-4a5e-bb49-f40fa1bea78c&priceBeautifyAB=0 If you want reasonable GPU prices, you should look at the Chinese brand "Colorful". Linus featured a few of their cards before, and as far as I can tell, they are fairly reasonably priced from a quick glance. Here is a link to their GPU page. They also do motherboards and their power supplies are pretty good once you get into the higher price range. https://www.aliexpress.com/store/group/Graphics-Card/2926102_510933583.html?spm=2114.12010612.0.0.34d258d1qDcDE7&origin=n&SortType=price_asc&g=y
  13. So I recently got a used Toshiba C850 for free, because it has a damaged headphone port. It also will not play audio out of the speakers. It only works on bluetooth. Seeing as it works fine on bluetooth, I have decided that the issue is not with the audio input, and the Realtek processor is receiving audio from the board. As I mentioned, the board has a damaged headphone port. By that, I mean that it is completely gone. When I was first installing a hard drive, the 3 shattered pieces of the port were sitting in the drive bay. I looked at the board and noticed that the only trace of this connector ever existing was the hole in the side of the casing, so I don't think this damaged the motherboard either. Could the board rely on shorting some of the 3 pins to show that headphones are present or not? Hopefully you can help!
  14. So a while ago I purchased a 2008 15" MacBook Pro A1260 from eBay in untested condition for €30. I installed RAM, but not a battery. When I plug it in, at first it powered on, but had no chime and no video. I kept messing around with it for a while, trying various tricks and tips from various forums, but to no avail. I tried again this morning, but now it turns on and instantly powers off. I have no previous experience with Macs of any sort, except for an old iMac G5 that runs Debian Linux I would love a bit of help, because I need a non-hackintosh computer to run OSX and its softwares, because of the programs I need to use. Hopefully someone can help me before I have to fork over cash to the Dundrum Compu-B store (Compu-B because they are Ireland's main apple outlet).
