  1. We've tried installing the NVIDIA Drivers for our graphics cards and not installing the drivers and going with the pre-installed. The result is still the same. Everything has worked perfectly in the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, but now we've been getting stall outs since moving to 19.04.
  2. 1. I have tried Other Distros and they have run fine, but It's required that the projects be tested in a Linux Environment that uses GNOME. We've tried other distros that use KDE and XFCE but GNOME is what we need for .DEB package installs. 2. The option of Single boot ubuntu was used and the result was the same. 3. the tty console I was able to access... it is completely blank.
  3. It's a fresh install every time. 4. Here is a video that explains all of this in full detail: I really need help with this. Thank you in advance.
  5. The download speeds are back to NORMAL in Steam. I disabled dnsmasq from the startup process.
  6. Tried to install dnsmasq - says there is a newer version installed and that version isn't running. I try to enable it, and still nothing. I'm still going to work on this. Edit: here's the info for dnsmasq: May 10 10:52:55 pm-Ttation-S20 systemd[1]: Starting dnsmasq - A lightweight DHCP and caching DNS server... 7. I'm going to try this. If it doesn't work, I'll try another distro Did that already, still nothing. Uninstalled and reinstalled Steam. No effect.
  8. Tried that too. Portal 2 will take 6 months to download. On my windows 10 PC It'll only take 1 1/2 hours.
  9. Ubuntu Desktop 19.04 and the game is The Binding of Issac: Afterbirth+
  10. The Speeds are fast and exactly as they should be. I dl'd a 2 GB iso in 3 minutes, but if I try to install a game of that size in steam, it says it'll take days.
  11. As I try to download my games in Steam, the download speeds are as slow as a snail. The Throttling is disabled, and I'm averaging 80-133kb/s. How do I fix this?
  12. Earlier I managed to install OpenSuse alongside Windows 10 (Thanks again Sauron !), but I now have a small problem. I'm trying to install the Linux drivers for my Nvidia GTX 970, but I have no idea which ones to install. There is one that says it works for 8xxx cards and up, but then the OS stalls out when I reboot. There are also some other versions for 7xx and 6xx cards, but I'm sure those won't work. Suggestions?
  13. Last night, I managed to install OpenSuse inplace of Ubuntu desktop. The problem is though is that even though its installed I don't see the grub menu to choose between the two systems... it just boots into Windows 10. The windows 10 install is on a separate SSD, and the OpenSuse install is on an 80gb partition on a second drive. What am I missing?
  14. I have. Same results. It was holding data just fine for the last few days. This only happened after I removed BitLocker yesterday.
  15. I do need it, that's why I'm going through all the options first before I toss it.
  16. The Bitlocker is already gone. This happened AFTER the removal, not before it.
  17. I have a 16GB USB Flash drive and I just removed BitLocker from it. Since then the drive won't load and Windows can't read or format the Drive. I made a video to better describe the problem I'm having. https://youtu.be/o1wL96lcE78 Thank you in advance for all the help.
  18. I'm using the current version of Windows 10 (Release) and it's installed with Ubuntu Desktop. I'm on the Windows Insider Program, and I want to see what is coming in the update in May. Is there any way to install a 3rd OS on a Dual boot system?
  19. It's possible that maybe the game files got corrupted from a previous update, the graphics settings in the game might need adjusting, or you might need to reinstall your graphics drivers. Try to uninstall and reinstall the game first and see if that changes things.
  20. It sounds like you have a corrupted Video Codec which can cause freezing in players that use external codecs. I recommend using VLC from VideoLan. It can play just about anything without the need for external codecs: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html Outside of that, I also recommend downloading K-lite Codec pack. Useful for players and video editors that rely on external, installed codecs. I recommend the Basic Pack: https://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
