  1. I have one of those I'll sell you for $19,995 :-)
  2. So... I took my stuff out of my Define XL R2 and moved it to a HAF XB EVO. I did this because the XL was just too large for my space, and I really like the more cubic design of the HAF, but... Oh, the cable management! It was very hard to get all my stuff routed under the Mobo and around the sides, even with a fully modular EVGA G3 PSU. Just a head's up for anyone considering the CoolerMaster case.
  3. Slapped an EVGA SSC 1060 6GB video card into The Beast as a place holder (until I can drop $800 for a FTW3 or the new NVidia architecture comes along). Gave it a spin, though I accidentally left it windowed and it's on 1062P. Not too shabby, I suppose, for a 1060. PS - No system overclocking yet, and and the card was showing 2012Hz at 72deg max temp. Quiet as a mouse.
  4. Does anyone "in the know" have any idea if we'll see a drop in prices anytime soon? After Christmas? After the new year? I don't mean a few dollars here and there due to sales. I mean a real price drop. What I am really asking is if I should go ahead and buy the $799 card I want knowing that the price will NOT come down within the foreseeable future (and knowing that a few dollars in sale drop won't really matter).
  5. Anybody with an MSI mobo and a 7700K used the Game Boost to crank that sucker up to 11 and get 5.2? I am scared to even try. Lol
  6. My problem was not being able to mount the HDD for GParted to even assign a GPT status. I could keep trying, but the drive is so freakin' loud I am taking it back and sticking with SSD. :-)
  7. I have found that dealing with problems in Linux is over my head right now. I have had difficulty getting either Wine or PlayonLinux to work properly, and could not get a new 10TB HDD to mount. Since I don't yet know my way around, I'm going to replace it with Windows 8.1 for now and take some classes.
  8. Nah... It's going back. Even if I could solve the problem, this thing is LOUD! I will stick with SSD.
  9. Hey, all... frustrated here. I cannot mount my new Ironwolf 10TB HDD. The motherboard (MSI Z270 variant) is showing it in the SATA1 slot. The OS (Linux MInt 18.3) is showing it in the Drive file, along with my M.2. However, it will not Mount. I have tried sudo mount, using Gnome Disk utilities, and physically swapping cables and SATA ports. It just will not mount. Please help.
  10. I just junked my Windows 10 and have Linux Mint now exclusively. Gonna try Wine and see if it satisfies all our needs.
