Hello,
i am looking for a new Home Server as i recently bought a Supermicro Board for my PfSense and this rocks!
What i currently have:
- ESXi 6.5 running on a 4Gen i5 NUC
- 16GB RAM
- separate NIC via mSATA
- Diskspace inside only for loggings. Not for VMs!
- Datastore for ESXi is on a Synology RS214 via NFS (i want to stick to that)
What i miss:
- Rackmount Solution (max depth about 10")
- Temperature Monitoring in ESXi
The performance of my NUC is "okay". The power consumption is awesome.
Any ideas how i can build a System to fulfill my "wish list"?
