  1. Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a merry Christmas! Now that cyberpunk, along with other games with high end graphics are on the market, I'm looking to upgrade my GPU. I have a Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, and a GTX 1060 3GB GPU. Does anyone have any suggestions on a decent upgrade that would work well with my current CPU? I usually game on 1080p. My price range is about 400 to 450 dollars, but I could go 500 if it's a good deal. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
  2. The computer had windows installed and was working great before this happened. The only thing that changed was that a few days prior I added more memory to it. If I'm not mistaken, I believe there are two drives plugged in.
  3. My uncle's computer is giving a message saying to reboot and select a proper boot device. Does anyone know the best fix for this issue? thanks.
  4. UPDATE: Turns out my dumb ass didn't have the monitor plugged all the way. It is working fine now. Thanks for all the help you guys!!!
  5. I installed another stick of 4 GB ram into my computer recently. Everything was going smoothly until I booted it up, then it gave me two choices, one was to start the computer in default values, and the other one was to press F1 and go into bios and set it up. I tried pressing F1, but had no idea what to do, so I exited the bios. After that, I have been getting a black screen every time I try to boot the PC. I've switched ram around, made sure it was clicked firmly in its socket, but nothing helps. Does anyone know how to fix that problem?
  6. Okay thanks man, I'l probably stick with on-board if it doesn't make a difference. ^^
  7. So I got a new set of Philips SHP9500s headphones with an impedance of 32 ohms. I was wondering if I should buy a cheap amp so I can maximize their sound quality, but I'm not sure if I would actually get any kind of improvement. Does anyone know if I should just plug them in to the motherboard, or get an amp for them? And yes, they sound fine on the motherboard. I just want to know if getting a cheap amp would be a waste of money or not..
  8. Hey everyone, I'm going to buy a new headset pretty soon (the Steelseries arctis 5) and I was wondering how tell if my motherboard's on-board audio is good enough for it. Does anyone know what makes a motherboard's on-board audio "good"? (I'm running the Asrock pro micro ATX if it helps) thanks
  9. Hey guys, I'm using a Cooler Master Masterbox 5 with the pre-installed RGB fans, and I can't seem to find out how to control what colors they are. I've gone into bios and tried messing with them but it didn't work, they are still stuck in the same color as before. Does anyone know how to control RGB fans on this case? because I don't.. (I'm using an asrock board btw if it helps.)
  10. Okay, thanks man! I will be using a new OS so I guess a USB boot method would work just fine? Okay thanks man! I will be installing OS on it. So
  11. Hey everyone I'm building a new PC soon, and I was wanting to keep my old hard drive. I'm new to computers so I'm not sure what to do in order to make my old hard drive work with a brand new motherboard and CPU. (I don't mind losing my data if it means a safer install.) If anyone know what your suppose to do to it, please let me know, because I haven't been able to find a good answer online yet.
  12. Okay, thanks a bunch for all the help, man! I've been looking for some directions on how to do this stuff, and haven't had any luck
  13. Okay. Do you know if that's all you have to do it in order to get a hard drive ready for an new computer and motherboard? Or do you have to do anything else to it?
  14. Hmm, okay, so dumb question, but if you format a hard drive, does that actually get rid of windows? And if it doesn't, then after that can I just plug it into my new build with no problems?
