    Hey so I'm a fresh graduate in computing and IT and I hold CCNA, MSCA, VM certificates, I'm looking to set up a home lab/playground to practice real life scenarios that I would encounter as a system administrator, as I have no experience in the IT field. Money not an issue so throw at me any setup and I'll buy it, I already have some computers, laptops, printers and other devices laying around, I just want a way to build an environment similar to lets say a bank or company and maybe software that can create problems for me to solve and learn along the way. ** PLEASE DONT ASK ME TO GET A JOB AS I KNOW THAT LIKE DUH Thanks for any contribution/advice

    i have an imac late 2015 with a 2tb fusion drive that started randomly giving kernel errors and once rebooted into the OSx Monterey it gives me an error saying "the disk you attached was not readable by this computer" and gives me 3 options: eject, initialize or ignore, when i chose initialize i was taken to disk utility that showed me apple ssd 128GB as unmounted and when i try to format, it keeps going and doesn't format. thanks!

    i cleaned it with iso 99% but im sure its the dents on the cpu corners causing it to do that as it happened to me before where i bought a cpu with dents and same thing happened, same ram slots not detecting ram and thats on a new motherboard

    its lga and im sure its the cpu it happened to me before where i bought a used cpu that had dents causing some ram slots to not detect ram and its always the same ram slots

    checked all contacts and all are nice and shiny, no SMD component missing either, no burn marks, it just has very tiny dents on two corners

    bought a used LGA cpu that when installed in a motherboard it causes some ram slot to not detect ram, i've tried occupying all ram slots and swapping same gen cpu and all works fine, what causes a cpu to work perfect only causing certain specific ram slot to not detect ram on a motherboard?

    As per title, i have i9 7900x and im having a hard time finding an lga 2066 board that isn't super expensive 300$ plus!! so i came across a motherboard from lenovo thinkstation p520c with a chipset of intel c422, will it work with the i9? saw a post saying it should.

    i found this i9 cpu on aliexpress and im so tempted to buy it, what do you guys think about buying CPUs off aliexpress? is there a chance it could be a fake i9 ? Intel Core i9-10900T es i9 10900T es QTB0 1,5 GHz 10-Core 20-Hilo de procesador de CPU L2 = 2,5 M L3 = 20M 35W LGA 1200 - AliExpress edit: its actually garbage and wont even show as i9, it will show as CPU 0000 LMAO, happy i didn't buy it blindly.

    even if the seller states that no returns accepted? and i payed using ebay as paypal is no longer an option to pay when buying on ebay

    yeah and what are those original compatible plug and play cards for imacs 2009-2011? did a research and options seems limited

    well i guess im out of luck and should stick with what came with each imac, i dont know why such old useless cards are so expensive on ebay, the cheapest card i found is like 80 bucks! i dont know where you live that imacs are being thrown away, i wish this happens here in florida lol

    i have imac 27" 2009, 2010 and 2011, all need GPU replacement, I've seen many forums talking about possible GPU upgrades, i'm looking for a list of supported GPUs as they're interchangeable between these models

    can any one please list all supported GPUs for 27" imacs from 2009-2011? i want a cheap compatible GPU, and last question, is there a hack that allows the integrated GPU thats in a CPU to be used instead of the Discreet GPU ?
