I have a 750 Watt psu, and currently an i5-8400 . i'll upgrade the other components too, but slowly. Also, i thought FTW3 ultra has better cooling than xc3 ultra. is it not? -
Hello all, I'm stuck in a dilemma, and im not sure what to do. Thanks to the recent restocks i managed to find a EVGA RTX 3080 12GB XC3 ultra for 979 USD before taxes, and i pounced at that deal and bought it. However, because of a delay from UPS, the GPU got shipped a day later than when i had to leave the city i had the card delivered in, and my wife cant get the card to me for at least 2-3 weeks. Today i got a notification from EVGA that the EVGA rtx 3080 10 GB FTW3 version is in stock, and that i have 20 hrs to buy it, and the price is 919$, plus 45$ in shipping the gpu to canada where i live. Should i just wait for my wife to bring the xc3 to me as it is the 12GB version, or should i get the FTW3 10 gig version and return the XC3 ultra? Thank you!

Hi All, I'm trying to decide between getting an android tablet or a Chromebook for my mom, whose primary need for the device will be taking online classes, doing her other teaching duties using MS office(primarily word and excel) and entertainment. I wanted to know if anyone has experience using mostly the MS word and Excel apps full time on either Android, or via office web on Chromebook(now that MS has stopped support for the Android apps on the chromebook) i know that the feature gap is big between the full windows desktop apps and the options mentioned above, however, i wanted to compare these two because the budget i have for this device is a little tight, and i know that buying a cheap windows laptop wont help at all with the performance. The price gap between the tablets and the Chromebooks we're looking at in not very different, and i will buy a BT mouse and keyboard if we go for a tablet. Also, anything else to note about the Chromebook experience would be nice! Thank you so much!

Hi All, I have a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 DirectX 12 GV-N1080WF3OC-8GD 8GB graphics card, which has been serving me very very well for the past 2-ish years. Now that rumors and murmurs of an rtx 3080 in the play, i was thinking of getting the 2080 or the 2080 super once 3080 comes out to get it for cheaper. The question is, what do you think a 1080 would sell for right now? i got it for like 450$. i know it wont help with the entire cost of the new GPU, but any offset would be nice. Also, do you guys recommend getting the 2080(super) or just wait to see how the 3080 is and then get that directly? Thanks!

its a 2 year old device now, and the camera is not that great on the 6.1.

USA. She actually loves the 6.1. It's perfectly adequate for her. she doesnt really do a lot on her phone, but i would like to have a good camera.

Hi Guys, I have been planning to get the google pixel 3a for my girlfriend as a gift, but i was wondering whether it's still a good buy or not, given it's 11 months after it's launch. My budget is a hard 400$, so i was considering this or the nokia 7.2, as she does have a 6.1 right now, which she loves, but her screen broke, and she herself is not willing to change. Any thoughts? Hi, Sorry should have mentioned that. I'm in the US. And you are right, enclosures are pretty costly and thats the issue. i would like to not spend more than 50$ if possible. But if not, im willing to go upto a 100$ at max.

Hi Everyone, So i have 4 external 2.5 inch sata drives with their own enclosures, which i want to combine into one single storage container. I dont want any raid functionality or anything. Just a way to plug all 4 of them into one place and access it from there, so that i can simplify the usage. Do you have any ideas? the enclosures i have seen online are either very costly, or are for at max 2 or 3 drives, or are for 3.5 inch drives. Thanks for the help! :)

Hi everyone, I bought the Asrock z370 killer sli/ac motherboard, and went to their support site to download the required drivers. But, there are two different lan drivers for the ethernet, they are: Intel Lan driver ver:12.17.10.7 Intel Lan driver ver:23.2_PV Which one do i choose? Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, I am looking at some mobos to buy, and in some of the mobo's specs, i find that the usb-c port they have are specified as "lightning usb 3.1 gen 2". Especially in MSI's z370 boards. Is this just a marketing term? or is it different from other usb 3.1 gen 2 ports? Thanks!

Hi Guys, Im trying to build a new PC this holiday season, and i am confused as to what CPU i should buy. Its not going to be for esports/pro gaming or very high productivity, i would like to run the latest AAA at a respectable frame rate for the games which just launched, or hopefully will not be a bottleneck for future releases. I'm not to keen on overclocking, but am open to it, but cost is more important that overclocking ability definitely. do i got for the i5-8400, i7-8700, or do i go past gen and get the i7-7700 ? I would love if someone can actually give me some advice with respect to the games launched in oct 2017 i.e. the likes of AC origins, Wolfenstein or COD ww2. Thanks in advance!
