  1. Pretty sure that CM RGB fans aren't supported by NZXT Hue+. That's NZXT proprietary. You will need the CM RGB controller for those fans.
  2. This would be better I guess. Thanks! One last thing, if I'm using CM Air Balance fans as intakes, would the same be alright for the 2 exhausts on the top or some other variant of the CM lineup?
  3. Then I guess total of 5 intakes (3 front and 2 on top) with just 1 exhaust at the back would be the best right?
  4. Okay, also, I found this reddit thread. People are saying that the Air Flow variant is not good..Can you have a look and share your thoughts? https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/79ck0b/psa_just_noticed_this_when_comparing_masterfan/?ref_source=embed&ref=share
  5. Ok, so since I won't be using a radiator, total 5 intakes (3 front and 2 top) and 1 exhaust would be good? Aso, which of the 3 CM fans would you recommend for intake and exhaust?
  6. You mean 3 intakes on the front, 2 intakes on the top and 1 exhaust on the back right? 3 intakes and 1 exhaust on the front is not possible since there are only 3 slots in the front..
  7. Indeed, I'm going with all RGB fans..not a fan of water cooling though, will stick to Hyper 212X or a better air cooler for the i5 8600K. Is this fan setup ok as per you? 3 Front intakes, 1 intake at the top and 2 exhausts, one at the top and the back? Since I wont have a radiator, all fans should be air flow? Also, will the top intake and exhaust fans work against each other being side by side? EDIT: Also found this reddit thread about the CM fans:
  8. okay! thanx for the info..where have u installed the radiator with intake fans? front or the top?
  9. Hi to all members, I am planning to build a new rig with Corsair 460X NON RGB being the chassis. I live in Delhi, where summer temps reach 46-47 deg C during peak summer months (May-Aug-ish). I wish to use ASUS Aura Sync compatible fans which right now only seem to be Cooler Master RGB fans having 3 type : Air Pressure, Air Flow & Air Balance. Since the case has 6 slots, which ones should be put in the front as intakes, and which ones should be put at the top and the back, and in which config (intake/exhaust)? Will positive air pressure be better or a balanced air flow should be more suitable (3 intakes, 3 exhausts)? Please help me clear this confusion..Thank you! PS: The specs would be: i5 8600K + ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212X RAM: 2x8GB GSkill Tridentz RGB @3200MHz GFX Card: Zotac Geforce GTX 1060 6GB AMP! Edition PSU: Antec EDGE750 750W 80+ Gold Storage: 1TB Seagate Baracudda + 500GB SSD (purchasing later)
  10. yeah I saw the CM splitter but it costs more than double I guess than the other non branded ones..great to know it will work..thanx! Can you also suggest which CM fans should be put in the front of the Corsair 460X and which ones on the top and the back? Thanx again!
  11. Hi to all, I am planning a new build focussed on RGB primarily. The case most likely will be Corsair Crystal 460X Non RGB since the RGB version comes with corsair SP120 RGB fans that don't support ASUS Aura Sync (since I will most likely be getting an Asus ROG Strix Z370-E board) or any other RGB sync solutions except corsair's own one. Therefore, I will be using Aura Sync compatible fans (currently only CM fans support it and are available here in India). Since there are a total of 6 fan slots, will it be possible to use an RGB splitter cable such as these to connect all the fans together to the 2 RGB headers on the motherboard?: http://amzn.to/2i9G1SJ OR http://amzn.to/2AfkP4M Thanks in advance!
  12. Thanx for the reply..you mean it might be a bit better than hyper 212x too?
  13. Just curious about the CR-201, it is one really good looking cooler. Has anyone tried it? Is it at par with Hyper 212X? Planning to buy for i5 8600K..
  14. Because of a couple of reasons actually, one being an experience with an AMD product used earlier, the trust with Intel, plus it getting beaten by coffee lake in almost everything including gaming. I just don't want to experiment no matter how positive the response, after spending so much on components that are already much more expensive here in India than they should be..and yeah I know ppl will think wow he doesn't know sh*t about ryzen/amd or whatever, or amd made intel rush with the coffee lake launch, I get that, but I guess its just a personal preference, just like Nvidia over AMD in graphics cards..
