  1. My penis can only get so erect
  2. Guys guys.... "Oculus will continue operating independently within Facebook to achieve this" we'll see what happens
  3. Linus and team... I would be interested to see which video interface is better - DVI, HDMI, or DP. One thing in particular I've always wondered if there's any difference with input lag between the standards. With your highspeed camera, you could see if there's a difference just like how you tested LCD VS CRT. I've always been a big advocate for DVI but my friends think HDMI is the end all connector. I prefer DVI because it's a more robust/durable and secure connector. I also dont like how HDMI carries HDCP info - i consider that just extra garbage data that you really dont need with a PC/monitor connection. DVI is just straight up digital video signal - no BS about it. I'm wondering if there's other advantages over one vs the other. ...i had an idea for tech quickie but forgot... dammit
  4. I'll give smartsync a look, thanks
  5. Thanks for the quick response. That's a good idea. I use synctoy for my backups, on a schedule at like 1AM. do you know of any backup programs that run a real-time sync? Using what? I tried streaming SimCity (on Origin) through Steam in-home streaming and it didnt work lol
  6. My fiance plays Sims 3 on her laptop. I'll be building her a desktop PC in a few months. How can she play Sims 3 on both the laptop (from the couch), AND on the desktop? There isnt an issue with having it installed on multiple PCs in Origin, i know. The issue is the saves. Sims 3 does not support Cloud saves, and only saves locally. Is there any way around this? How can she save progress on laptop and continue playing on desktop, vice versa? Is there a way??
  7. Yeah, i have Yaste on my phone and it's awesome. I always default to my Logitech K400 though. Scythe Shuriken
  8. It's okay. I wish I could take advantage of the CEC functions over HDMI. ie navigating xbmc with TV IR remote but you need some funky adapter thats 50 bucks. http://www.pulse-eight.com/store/products/104-usb-hdmi-cec-adapter.aspx But I really like how the entire UI is completely navigable with the keyboard. using the mouse just seems.... silly. Figuring out how to arrange episodes of Archer is the hardest part lol.... xbmc is particular with how Archer is organized in explorer. Thank you. It looks very clean under my TV. friends dont even know it's a PC, but i dont know how that makes me feel lol.
  9. Thanks! I wrangled up two very short SATA cables. They're probably 6-8 inches and work perfectly. It's running win7 with XBMC as my library. I started using xbmc about a year ago. Prior to that, i just used VLC and didnt ever use a library / front end but then my fiance and I moved in together and she wanted something visual for movies/shows. I mostly pieced alot of things together. salvaged the PSU, drives, and RAM. I purchased the motherboard and APU for $100 in a combo deal at MicroCenter. The case was 70$ i think. So $170 plus the parts I already had.
