Hi guys,
I'm planing to built a pc for Photoshop(concept art and mattepainting), editing and Nuke(mostly for 3d projection of mattepaitings and some VR content creation).
Just professional tasks, if I game in this build will be just The binding of Isaac, CUPHEAD, I don't need to worry about it.
Looking my choices, I arrived at a U$2000 ~ 2500 budget(without cintiq)
My saved pcpartpicker:
i7 8700 3.2ghz(4.6ghz boost)
asetek 545LC (92mm aio cooler)
asrock fatal1ty z370 gaming-itx/ac
ripjaws V series 32gb(2x16gb) ddr4 3200 16C(just because it's cheaper than vengeance 2666 15c)
samsung - 960 evo 250gb ssd
2x hitachi - travelstar 1tb 2.5" 7200rpm
gpu radeon pro wx 7100 (8gb)
corsair SF600 80+ gold
monitor benq PD2700Q
case evolve shift or ncase m1 v5(but what I really want is dancases a4-sfx v2)
cintiq 13"(thats why I'm not planning to buy 2 monitors)
I would love to get an wireless mice and keyboard(compact as 60 or TKL with non-rgb backlit)
My issues(for any of those questions, I already search about, so if it's here, it's cause I don't find a solution):1) Ryzen 7(probably the 1800x) for more threads) or 8700 non-k for stronger clocks? Is it worth overclock since it's a professional pc?2) I'm between asrock gaming itx and asus itx:
asrock because of thunderbolt 3(future proof(?)) and it's possibility to use a docking with usb3.1 gen2
asus itx(it already has usb3.1 gen2) I can RAID1 my HDDs for safety(but I don't really know if it's worth or it's bette have 1tb ssd) and the front M.2 slot(don't get too much hot in a4-sfx, but wx 7100 can make the things hot)
Review link: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-pro-wx-7100,4896-2.html3) I choose wx7100 cause it's cheap and I think I don't really need radeon pro duo, but if it almost doubles the performance for less than double price(7100 = U$500 vs pro duo = U$880) I don't know if it's worth to have duo gpus, maybe it's better pay more for a quadro... make your point here guys)4) is it possible to aio cooling this graphics cards or it already have some waterblock?5) Benq PD2700Q is a cheap pro monitor but benq GW2765HT is even cheaper, it's not a "pro" monitor, but comparing specs it's almost equal
Edit:
I don't find any nuke benchmarks, and even knowing nuke takes advanges from RAM and cores for render, for my especific tasks, I don't know if I will take advantages from this same specs
I was already told ITX is not for "future proof", but I want an SFF, I'm considering mATX too, but Asus mobo has, 2 M.2 slots, better wifi than I can get in Brazil, I have no needs for Ethernet and RAID is thing that I really don't know if it's worth, and for some upgrades I don't really need to add, I can switch.
I'm not so much on a budget but I'm try not to make a monster bigger than it needs to be, thinking I'm with my actual pc since 2011(without upgrades) and I want a pc for more 4years(probably 6 years while I cry)
Thanks guys, even before you answer me, you are amazing!
