  1. I know it would be best, I use my card almost daily for my engineering drawings.
  2. I have already tried that. I have been for the past week, googling solutions, causes and how to possibly fix it. I held the case power for 5 minutes when the system was unplugged to drain what charge could be in the capacitors. As soon as the PC is turned off it just shoots back on and doesn't turn off.
  3. I did, as I mentioned Amazon have no replacements and I can't afford to wait what could be weeks for A) Money to be transferred back to my account B) Waiting for a graphics card to be back in stock with presumably a large back log for the GPU I need.
  4. My 1070 Founders edition recently developed a fault. I message the EU team and their response"". Even after saying the issue, which was the GPU fan would turn back on after the system was powered down and after unplugging the power supply itself from any available wall power it would still spin in excess of 10 hours. I expect a much better response from someone who I paid out hundreds of pounds too. What kind of a response is this? Due to the recent influx of mining Amazon have no replacements and I use the card for daily work.
  5. Not right now. But I left it unplugged from the mains for 1 hour and came back to find the fan still spinning
  6. But even after I unplug it from the mains it still turn's on
  7. Yes, but only the GPU turns back on
  8. For some reason, whenever I turn my PC off, my ZOTAC 1070 FE's fan turns off with the system then ramps up to around 60% speed. I even unplugged it from the mains and for some reason the fan on it is still spinning. Any ideas?
  9. I wanted to move stuff away from my PC as I don't want my PC making all of the vibrations through my desk. Also there are several other PC's in my house (Mothers, father, dinning room computer) which are used quite often and the laptops and the other PC both have limited room.
  10. I'm looking to expand the amount of storage in my home without adding more drives to my gaming PC. Is it possible to get a cheap server or something similar (For about a few hundred GBP) that can store quite a bit of data ( A few TeraBytes) ? Also is it possible that it could be used to load a game? To save space on my main PC? So instead of having to install it on the PC, run a cable between the two and then use the other system to play the game? Thanks
  11. Ok. Would I be better off getting a GAME ZERO? When using the mic on my G35 there is an annoying high pitched noise. Would I see better sound with another headset like the one I mentioned?
  12. You can OC r7 on a motherboard like this though.
  13. To add, headset recommendations are appreciated. Preferably closed back with a mic and stereo as I play games like PUBG and R6S.
  14. I am currently using a G35 (USB headset) but my motherboard, a Maximus X Hero (z370) has a built in dac and amp I believe. Is it possible an audio jack to usb adapter would see an improvement in sound or am I better going with a Sennheiser game zero headset which uses audio jacks? Thanks
  15. I would go with the Asus board (preferably the prime a). the Aorus gaming 3 apparently has an issue where less voltage is given than what is requested (Gamers Nexus). If you could stretch to a maximus x hero that would be better. Personally either the prime-A or the Strix board.
  16. I'm not running max speed on the fans due to the noise. Running the pump at 100% for the amount of time I play would kill it ALOT faster. I haven't used the stock thermal paste. Not deliding as I like warranty
  17. I can get 5Ghz on my 8700k but only at 1.350 V, at which in aida 64 temps sore to 90 degrees or more on all 6 cores. I know it won't get that high in gaming but should I just run it at my current settings of 4.7Ghz at 1.264 V
  18. I'll try to find a box for it then. I have an old shoe box that I could just fill with bubble wrap lol
  19. So Put the mobo etc in the Anti static bag (After ensuring the new mobo works etc incase i have to send it back), then wrap it in bubble wrap and put it into the envelope
  20. Could I use the anti static bag that comes with my new mobo tomorrow?
  21. Well the 8700k seems to be on sale right now, it was down from £409 to £349.99. Only got it because it was £90 more than hte 8600k
  22. Shit yeah I can't see it either. Are you able to stretch to the z370-f strix?
