I recently bought a TCL r646 TV with 4K 120hz and I'm loving it... almost. When I use my PC with RTX 3060 I found the signal cuts out repeatedly to be almost unusable at points. Now the odd part about this is that this isn't an issue with my PS5. I play Modern Warfare (2019) for 30 minutes on PC and have this issue along with emulating games. But I run Spider-Man on my PS5 in VRR mode for the same amount of time and it ran perfectly. I even borrowed an RX 6700xt from a friend and played a 4 hour game session with no issue. This seems to be an Nvidia issue and I'm wondering what's wrong here?

I have a TV and Twin Monitor setup and want to setup a bat to disable the specific monitors for if I want to use my PC as a desktop or game console. What would I need to do to run something like that?

Steam has added Flick Stick, shown off in this video, to Steam. Making it the best way to use that feature with proper X-input support and an actual UI.

Honestly just something good and simple for under $1000. Like I said it's for my Dad and he's pretty tech illiterate. He just uses Corel for architectural work when he's plotting out a new project to build.

My Dad got his current PC for CorelDraw in 2011 and it's high time for an upgrade because it still runs AMD processors from that time frame and I don't need to say why that's a bad idea. I want to get him a laptop with thunderbolt 3 so he can move between home and work and just plug into a hub and go exactly like what Linus did with his cleanest gaming setup a few months back (sans gaming). What's a good option and do I need a GPU for Corel? I know nothing about Corel so any help is appreciated.

I'm moving into my own place soon and need to get a TV for it. 4K Hdr would be nice if possible. Also good retro game compatibility (I'm using an OSSC to upscale my games to 1200p). Any reccomendations?

I'm going stir crazy over this and need help. I have a PC and several retro console, but the retro consoles all look like ass on an upscaler. I know there are fixes like the Retrotink and OSSC but tha's really expensive, but emulation looks good without spending all that money, but OG hardware gives you 100% compatibility, but the hardware is rotting away, but the feel of sitting down with the original system can't be beat, but emulation gives you everything under one roof without all that space taken, and I just can't choose. Emulate or not? What do I do? I don't know how to choose and i just want to play the games and I can't decide how.

$800 is a bit much, that will crush anything easily. You could probably use that cash to go for an even tinier form factor though.

Only problem it might have in emulation is the PS3 and Wii U, so you'll be fine. Don't know your budget so here's a good start. That's how I did it at first, but for what ever reason my MSI X470 Carbon BIOS didn't see the windows drive in boot priority, so I dug through until I reached advanced boot settings, overrode my fixed boot priority, got into WIndows and when I tried to switch back to Ubuntu I found my self trapped in the boot set up menu for ubuntu and no matter what I picked i got boot error codes I cannot remember because I'm at college rn.

Yeah I tried that and it... broke Ubuntu.

And there's my mistake, I heard I need to unplug my Windows drive so it wasn't overwritten, guess those instructions were outdated.

Okay, so I spent yesterday trying to set up Linux to dual boot with WIndows 10 and manged to fuck it up. I'm gonna wipe my Linux drive and try again, this time though I want someone to explain setting up a dual boot to me like I'm an idiot(not condescending but simple). I'm frustrated and ripping my hair out over this.

In December, I got a 500GB SSD for Christmas and wiped my 250GB SSD that I was using. Well, I've been hearing a lot about Linux and how it's better for gaming than it used to be, thing is without gaming I would just bail on Windows all together. But I'm nervous so I wanna set up a dual boot Linux/Windows 10 setup. Is this a good idea? What should I know? What Distro works best for gaming? Any tips are appreciated! In case it affects anything I run a Ryzen 2700x with Vega 64 on a X470 MSI Carbon MOBO.

Simple as it sounds, I've been PC Gaming for a while (coming up on 3 years) but when it comes to FPS' I feel more comfortable with my Xbone Controller than KB+M in spite of claims that people who play on controllers suck.

So, I got my hands on a 960m 4GB i5 6300 Inspirion 7559 used for $250. I'm loving it so far but there are some asthetic problems with it. The left side of the chasis just above the power socket has come loose and is flapping freely and I don't know how to fix it, and there are stains on it that no amount of cleaning can get out, the hard drive is also loose which is not good for the bottom cover so I need to find the right screws, and two of the vent covers are gone. Can anyone help me out with a way to fix the hinge, get new screws, get new vent covers, and find a proper cover for the top of the laptop?

Yeah, I'll jsut send them back to amazon probably.
