  1. That's the first thing I'm going to do; update the bios. Hopefully the ram shouldn't have too much trouble.
  2. G'day guys, If anyone is running with the ASUS Strix B350F motherboard with the G.Skill ram built for ryzen (F4-3200C14D-16GFX), are you able to get a stable 3200mhz? And if so, how? Cheers.
  3. G'day guys, I've finished my first ever build. the PC will be used for Small amounts of gaming, heavy multi-tasking, statistical analysis, video analysis and making, every day use (MS word, youtube etc.) Here is the spec's; PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor ($278.00 @ Umart) Motherboard: Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard ($179.00) Memory: Kingston - Predator 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3333 Memory ($277.10 @ Umart) Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($124.00 @ Shopping Express) Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($62.00) Video Card: Asus - GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 3GB Dual Video Card ($308.00 @ Shopping Express) Case: Corsair - SPEC-ALPHA (White/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case ($99.00 @ Umart) Power Supply: Corsair - CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($95.00) Operating System: Microsoft - Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($139.00) Case Fan: Noctua - NF-S12B redux-1200 PWM 59.1 CFM 120mm Fan ($20.00 @ PCCaseGear) Total: $1581.10 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-10-26 13:07 AEDT+1100 EDIT: I've already bought the components, their currently in transit to the store. So please no "could of bough this, saved money here". I do want your feedback; but please explain why. Furthermore, parts down under are expensive as fuck, honestly. I did the best I could for the shop I'm buying at. If I buy from multiple stores, the lowest price for shipping items is like $10 - $15 PER ITEM (unless you buy 2 or more, SOMETIMES they keep the shipping rate standard. But most times they keep adding extra shipping costs on) so it has a high possibility to end up the same price anyway... EDIT 2: I added the correct GPU to the list. Cheers, iSoldMum4GP.
  4. If i drop the ram form the one in the system build to CMK16GX4M2B3200C16W or HX433C16PB3K2/16 - I can save $30 Dropping the M.2 to a 256 samsung evo SSD - I can save 36 Buying the OS from the R/microsoftswap - I can save $80 EDIT: total saving = 146
  5. I should mention; The gaming will be shit all honestly (Garys mod, Golf with friends, small shit like that).
  6. Update; The only RAM i have access to on the QVL list is HX433C16PB3K2/16 (and potentially CMK16GX4M2B3200C16W if I take the 'w' off the back.)
  7. Gaming, every day use, heavy multitasking, multiple broswers, video analysis Looking at the reddit thread, it looks pretty legit, thanks for the heads up mate!
  8. Are they pirated copies of windows, or legit? I checked all the ram on the QVL, and I can only get access to the Kingston if i remember correctly, but I'll have another look.
  9. G'day guys Here is my researched, completed build that I will be buying in the next few days. You're more than welcome to give me your thoughts. 10. Awesome, thanks mate! What's the difference between single and dual ranked? Another question; I see alot of them have 15D, 16D, 17D etc. in their name, should I try to find a 14D that my store stocks, so will higher than 14D be acceptable
  11. Hi guys, back again for another stupid question... Long story short; We get sweet fuck all down here is AUS All but 1 of the 3200mhz ram on the QVL for the Mobo I can actually buy in the store I'm purchasing from (I can get the Kingston HyperX Predator HX433C16PB3K2/16) Would like to know what 3200mhz you're running with the 1600 So my questions are; what 3200mhz RAM are you running on your 1600? If you can find the exact name (e.g. Kingston HyperX Predator 16BG - HX433C16PB3K2/16, G.Skill 16G (2x8G) - F4-3200C16D-16GTZB PC4-25600) and post it below, that'd be great... Cheers fellas.
  12. Would you recommend underclocking 3200, or just buy 3000?
  13. I Also so you're running 3200MhZ ram with the 1600, have you had any problems with it??
