  1. Tried that, the installer crashes.
  2. How do I get rid of this? One of my icons turned white and launching the program shows this message. Trying to uninstall the program also shows this message. I tried compatibility mode, which did not change anything. I also tried installing the program again without uninstalling. The installer crashed. The program is the Autodesk desktop app.
  3. Hello, my (formerly) trusty Roccat Kova has been driving me insane for the last few days (double left click, middle click needs to be really SLAMMED to work), so I started looking for alternatives. Anyone with knowledge of the current market willing to fill me in? Requirements: - will be used for CAD and RPG games - around 3000 DPI - sniper button with as low DPI/sensitivity as possible (for aiming in CAD and graphic design programs) - I have pretty large hands (19.5 X 10 cm) - rechargeable if wireless - cheap Thanks!
  4. Aright, that's some possibilities ruled out. If it's unstable on ethernet too it's certainly not wifi issues. Looks like the problem could be a bad modem, bad signal at modem location, or something in the ISP's side. It may well be that 4G internet just sucks in general right now and you just got lucky when using the phone hotspot. You could still try placing the modem somewhere else. If it's under a table or somewhere like that it could be receiving very weak signal. Best location would be one with line of sight to outside, generally the closer to the outside the better. You could use a phone as a signal strength measuring device and try to find a good spot.
  5. Looks like your new modem thing really does work just like a phone hotspot (It's an LTE router modem combo). Since you're saying using a normal phonwe hotspot worked fine, can you think of anything that was different between those two tests? Are they on the same ISP? Different companies sometimes have their own cell towers, which means one phone can have full service while another is completely disconnected. Have you tried an ethernet cabvle connection? Wifi can be unstable if the router is very far away, if there are walls between you and the router, and especially if there are any metal bbarriers between the two. The same is true for cell connection, too. You may get a more stable connection when you put the modem close to a window.
  6. In the end, I decided to go with the CK350 and so far so good. Now I just have to learn not to press the keys so hard, on the old keyboard I sometimes had to really SMASH the key in to get it to register. Thanks to everyone that helped me!
  7. Malwarebytes can do some more advanced scans as far as I know, but the free version does not do background protection. Therefore the best free setup is probably Kaspersky/Bitdefender (whichever you like) as a normal antivirus and Malwarebytes for manual on-demand scans.
  8. They have a free version and a paid version. The free version doesn't have some features of the full, but it's actually free in the sense that it doesn't bombard you with ads and stuff like that.
  9. I used Bitdefender for some time, they say it has less overhead than Windows Defender on older systems. Avast is kinda bloaty in my experience. It keeps shouting about buying the paid version when you're just minding your own business using the computer, it installs Chrome and some Avast browser by default and it tries to sell you on some "PC speedup" product every time you scan and also by random popups.
  10. Are they backlit? I work at night and I'm not at touch typist level yet, especially for the special character keys.
  11. Alright, thanks a lot, I'll check out some reviews on the 350. Thread probably over ?
  12. Also, what's the difference between a ck350 and a ck530?
  13. I leave in the Czech Republic. I Found the ck350 on some Czech stores and the price looks quite alright, are there any known problems with it?
  14. Thanks, I heard about those! Unfortunately shipping from the US takes them up into the 80$ territory. The best price I could find was on German Amazon, but that was with a German layout. It also looks like all the Redragon keyboards I can get in my country have blue switches, which is a no-go.
  15. My old keyboard (a 15$ Yenkee Ambush I bought in 2016 because it was the cheapest one that had backlight) recently started acting up - keypresses sometimes fail to register and the non-stabilised keeps getting stuck in the open position. All in all, working on this thing is kind of a pain, so I decided to get a new one. I am asking for recommendations, since you people seem to know your stuff. Requirements: - Needs to be at least somewhat silent, since I often work at night in a room containing a sleeping child. - Will be used mostly for writing and CAD, occasionally gaming (RPGs/simulators). Typing comfort and general frustration avoidance is a priority. - Should be backlit in a colour that isn't blue or red. Can but doesn't have to be RGB. - Should have a numpad, because my mother tongue uses the upper row of numbers for special characters and I don't want to switch between keyboards all the time - Media control keys are a plus - Doesn't have to be mechanical if the feel and build quality are good - Preferably shouldn't stop working in four years - Should be around 50$ or less. I tried some keyboards at the local computer store today, they recommended this: https://genesis-zone.com/product/rx85-rgb If that is a known bad, please let me know. Thanks, Matej101
