  1. Hi Linustechiuns! I've been scouring the internet on this topic with no conclusive or at least comforting information on this subject. The two monitors I've currently got my eyes on are the Acer Predator XB271HK and the Asus ROG Swift PG27AQ. https://www.scan.co.uk/products/27-acer-predator-nvidia-g-sync-ips-3840x2160-4ms-350cd-m2-10001-dp-hdmi-2x-2w-speakers-4x-usb-30-out https://www.scan.co.uk/products/27-asus-pg27aq-rog-swift-4k-nvidia-g-sync-ips-monitor-3840x2160-4ms-10001-adjustable-black-dp-hdmi-2 The problem is that the price tag is a rather big bullet to bight for me. As of the start of October the Acer monitor was aprox £550 but it's now jumped to roughly the same price if not a little bit cheaper than the Asus. (Why is this?) As a result if I was to buy one of them right now I'd go for the Asus with its generally better reviews. My question is when can I expect to see a price dip/drop in these high end monitors? Will there ever be an obviously good time? I'm looking for particularly 4k, IPS, G-Sync, 60Hz monitors. The reason I'm not interested in 60Hz+ at 4k is that when those soon to release monitors are indeed released the price tag is going to be imminence and I simply won't be interested in spending that much on a monitor. If by some miracle the Acer Preditor X27 and its undoubtedly to be unveiled Asus equivalent is priced to replace these monitors at this £700-800 price point then I'll be snatching one up quicker than the flash! Will we see a price change in these monitors when the Acer Preditor X27 is released? Will Christmas sales effect the prices of these monitors and if so, when's the perfect window to take the plunge? Thanks in advance!
