Legion 5 pro 3070 mobile- 140W 5800h 32ram (I totally recommend this laptop ) - doesn't have fan control sadly Everything worked fine GPU @140W all the time no problem Then I decided to reinstall OS - win10 -> win10 Now every program, Nvidia overlay, HWinfo etc. reports 115W max +- 3W Can't get it to go higher than that. BUT Every observable thing stayed the same FPS, Frametimes, even Hashrate on eth Memory clock seem to be @6000 more frequently than before Boost clocks seem to be about the same to bit lower , temps may be lower slightly Yes am in the performance mode, plugged in, temps well within range, fully up to date .... even installed official lenovo gpu drivers So did I break something or is Lenovo not honest

That's true. But I really don't need it. I'm college student in computer science. and the laptop that I have now is garbage.

All of those have quadros in them which makes them really expensive. I was looking for someting like 1500 - 2200 euros. And i don't really plan to do extensive compute on it. And the virtualization is like for 3 - 5 Vms so not really that heavy (I think)

Do you think that there will be a ryzen 3000 desktop chip in a laptop any time soon ? I'm in a market for gaming/ productivity laptop - mainly virtualization and little bit of compute. I'm looking for something like ryzen 3700 + rtx 2060 with a good battery life 6+ hours . Does somebody know anything like that ? If it is allowed to exist. I was also looking at MSI prestiege P65 but i would like to go ryzen.

I do not see anything suspicious in HWmonitor. But also i don't see the PCH anywhere in there.

Downloading HWmonitor. But in the HWinfo i have the graph opened and it's totally stable now at 25.5C

The other one is HWinfo. Have you any other sugestions to try ?

Should I be concerned ? I use the latptop as a gaming server but the other temps are alright. (CPU usage only on 30-50 %) Speed fan was only installed right now to try to control the temperature.

How does the vrm's look like ?(it's close to gpu i assume) i can open up the laptop and stick a probe onto it. If it helps somehow.

i have acces to dell 330w do you think that might help ? (idon't know the voltage of that one or conector) but i'll try it in course of next week edit : looked it up on amazon it has right voltage.

it does on not much higher. But i think it's due to not enough voltage.

Hey I want to ask for some tips for overclocking my 940mx in msi laptop specs are i5 6300hq, 940 mx 2gb, (both tim changed for thermal grizzly conductonaut) 8 gb mem, and 120 w adapter, I've tried some modest overclocking that is +30 mhz on core and 350 mhz on mem. clocks it's fully stable, and temps are great 63° to 69° C But i've run into issues with power delivery(i think) because when i have power seting of laptop on balanced gpu has power limit (1) but when i switch to high performance power limit goes to 0 but the voltage limit replaces it (1.2 volts), i think i can go higher with more voltage is there some trick to unlock voltage control (using evga xoc(could switch to something else if it works) I don't know if it is the power adapter or only power delivery for the gpu
