  1. Okay, so I returned 1070 and got a 1080ti ftw3 and still the same, I am getting 60-100 fps in 1080p ultra in bf1 which is ridicilously low for this card. I tried different ram and power supply to rule those out. Both GPU's gave me same performance. I tried DDU many times. The only thing that comes mind is, either an outdated cpu which kind of breaks my heart because its a haswell i7 @3.9 ghz OR my mini itx motherboard. What do you guys think? Oh I also have a 1080p 60hz monitor(yes i know, i will get a 4k monitor soon) but it doesnt explain low fps.
  2. I have a 1080ti EVGA FTW3. Real Base Clock: 1569 MHz/Real Boost Clock: 1683 MHZ https://www.amazon.ca/EVGA-GeForce-GAMING-GDDR5X-Technology/dp/B06Y15DWXR/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1504997856&sr=8-1&keywords=1080ti+evga+ftw3
  3. Yes, I will be getting a Corsair Carbide Series Air 740 Indeed it is my friend. I am planning to get a second one next year. SG13 is a nice little baby. Unfortunately, HX1000i, 1080ti and H80i did not like it in there together : )
  4. Hi guys, I recently upgraded some parts in my pc. I had a mini-itx case and as a result, some of my new parts did not fit. Now my mobo sits on a piece of cardboard. I like it so far. My computer feels like it's found a new home. Hence, the name. I want to create a rig so I can run BF1, Ultra @1440p +150 FPS. I will also be purchasing a 144hz, 1ms monitor to go along with. The plan is to get a real motherboard, 7700k and a nice pair of DDR4. Specs I7-4771 @3.9 Ghz Asus H87-I Plus GTX 1080TI Corsair Vengeance LP 16 GB DDR3 Samsung EVO 500 GB SSD Corsair H80i V2 Corsair HX1000i Enjoy, Thank you very much.
  5. Tried DDU three times. It's still stuttering. I will return it to amazon and get a 1080ti, but thank you so much for your answers.
  6. Hello Everyone, My Specs ASUS H-87I Plus M-ITX I7-4771 @3.9 Ghz Corsair H80i v2 EVGA GTX 1070 FTW2 Samsung EVO 500 GB Corsair Vengenance LP 16GB DDR3 Corsair HX1000i My system started stuttering after I bought a 1070. Previously I had a 750TI and none of these problems were present. When I play GTA5 and BF1, it stutters very briefly once or twice every minute. I tried tweaking certain things and nothing helps. Apart from stuttering, I am also getting bad FPS. At 1080p Ultra settings in BF1 and Directx12 turned off, I get 70-90 FPS. I also get this whining from GPU whenever I game. When I switch to windows, it stops. This whining is also in-sync with stuttering as it also momentarily stops when game stutters, so I know that stuttering is connected to this whining. I tried this with fans at %0 to make sure it wasn't the fans and I still get it. In below video, I am in BF1 and whining stops when I hit windows key to return to desktop and it starts again when i return to battlefield/gta. Keep in mind, fans are at %0 rpm in this video. https://streamable.com/uxkps I thought maybe Haswell CPU was bottlenecking 1070 so I checked GPU usage and it is at %100 usage so it's not that. I need your help as to what's going on with my system. I bought it from Amazon so I'll just return it depending on your suggestions. Thank you!
  7. Oh that was very helpful. Funny guy. I dont wanna get the cheapest. I want something that will function well enough and will clear my goddamn heatsink. Unless you have some meaningful suggestions, do me a favor and keep your smartass comments to yourself.
  8. Hi Guys, As title suggests, I need your help that to find a ram will be compatible with my Zalman CNPS8900 Extreme. I will be using an H87-I Asus mini-itx mobo and I dont have any specific brand preference. I am looking to buy an 8gb dual kit. (2x4gb) Thank you.
  9. dont remove your front panel, it's not a permanent solution, you will accumulate dust in the case, if your prodigy have a solid front panel, buy this from bitfenix, its a mesh front panel replacement for prodigy, much better airflow if you ask me. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811997093
  10. maybe its just a hot chip. unfortunately every cpu is different in some way or another. try buying an all in one water cooling unit if you have the money.
  11. buy a good thermal paste and a good exhaust fan, if it stays the same, change your heatsink. Go for a tower heatsink such as these ones. With a case like yours, you have so much clearance and take advantage of that. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835709004&ignorebbr=1 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608018&ignorebbr=1 dont think of other stuff that you bought... fans, thermal paste etc as wasted money, regardless of your heatsink, you need those in a good shape in any situation for a good airflow within the case.
  12. First of all, i dont understand why you are using a slim fan when you have so much headroom with a case such as Bitfenix Prodigy. There is nothing wrong with your heatsink but you NEED to change your fan, that gelid is only good for very small cases where space is limited. For your heatsink get this; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608026 Your case supports up to 230 mm front fan and this is my favorite; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835345004 Again prodigy supports 140 mm for rear exhaust and I would recommend mounting this for your rear exhaust; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608017 You dont really need to install fans on top, if you feel like it, get the same 120 mm noctua fans which you will be using for your heatsink and configure them as exhaust as well. One more thing, you heatsink fan should always be blowing air downwards. This way it will be able to cool not only the cpu but also other components of your motherboard. Dont forget to buy a quality thermal paste as well. It has a massive effect on how your heatsink will perform. PS: If you decide to go with my advice, I expect your temps to drop by at least 15c and That is a very conservative assumption.
  13. if you can, get a case with a better airflow design. the fact that there is only one front intake fan really bothers me for a case in this size.
