  1. Thanks I currently just lay my PC on its side but obviously you can't just do that If its full of water so hopefully If I set up my drain and fill ports reasonably well I can drain and fill it fairly quickly
  2. I am currently planning on doing my first hardline watercooled system, Just CPU for now, but as part of my job I have to regularly move around and I take my PC with me on multiple hour drives, firstly Is it safe to transport a hardline system and secondly what steps would you take apart from drain the loop when transporting the system
  3. There is no drive to format though, it just shows drive 0 with 0mb of space and when i clean it it just shows up same as it was
  4. I just built a new computer and when trying to install my copy of windows I went through the installation setup all fine and when it restarted I went into my Bios and changed my boot order, it then wouldn't load and now when i restart my windows my HDD is undiscoverable in the "Where do you want to install windows screen" but it still appears in my Bios, i tried a full default bios reset to defaults and unplugging and replugging my HDD but windows just will not find it, any ideas what I can do?
  5. Fair enough, they're only £12 so if for some reason i did have any issues it seems a reasonable solution but I would hope just basic application boots shouldn't subject it too strong loads over a long time so shouldn't get too hot
  6. I'm just trying to decide a new mobo for my coffee lake chip, was planning on throwing an Samsung 960 Evo M.2 drive in there for booting up and storing often used applications, a mix of games and 3d modelling software, was probably going to go for the Asus Z370 Prime A or the ROG strix Z370-H but noticed the ROG doesn't have a M.2 heatspreader, how essential are they and unless doing heavy file transfer is my M.2 likely to thermal throttle without one.
  7. I've recently been doing a parts list for my first PC i'm building for myself, i've built for friends before, and just saw the new 8400 has come out. its a gaming rig so seems like the best processor of the new bunch but at the moment only Z370 motherboards are available for the 8th gen chipset, do you need a Z370 mobo for boost mode on the chip (getting it from 2.8 GHz to 4 GHz) and if so which of the new motherboards would people recommend, around the $120-$180 price mark, and if not is it worth waiting for the B370/H370 mobo's as i'm not aware of them currently having any sort of release date and i would like to build my PC fairly soon
