  1. I would but, at this point, unless it'll cause more issues in the future or get worse, I think i might leave it be. its a lot of work for something kinda minor. i just wish there was a simple fix:(
  2. Updated my BIOS to the latest available, didn't change anything. still havin the same problem:(
  3. ok, awesome! thank you so much, I'm having a bit of trouble finding my bios update but once I find the right one I'll go ahead and flash it
  4. ok! that's definitely something I will try soon, not now unfortunetly since it's a bit late and I'm a bit tired, thank you!
  5. I've heard of some people bricking their boards after doing so, how safe is it to update it after the initial build?
  6. As the title says, I'm having a weird issue with tabbing out of fullscreen applications. I thought maybe it was Overwatch specifically so I tried a few other games, no luck. This christmas I got more two more sticks of ram, some case fans, and a new cpu cooler (its very very overkill for my cpu I know but I wanted to get it before CES and Ryzen 3000 upgrade). Before all of these changes my screen would go black as it should and then tab into whatever I wanted. But now it is always choppy for about 5-7 seconds when I tab out. it's odd and I'm not quite sure what caused it. I tried messing with different solutions, disabling fullscreen optimizations, moving the sticks of ram, only using my old ones, updating gpu drivers, even taking my entire system apart, re-socketing the cpu and putting it back together. still no luck. the one thing it could possibly be is maybe a weird setting in my bios, I changed a few settings in my bios after I put all my new parts in, and maybe I hit something weird. its a niche thing I know, but it's very very annoying and I'd like to help anyone else with this problem in the future too. Thanks for any replies Specs: R3 1200 OC'd @ 3.7GHz w/1.36V with the Cryrig H7 cooler Gigabyte Gaming GA-AB350 3 16GB Patriot Viper ram @2400MHz Radeon RX 580 4GB Corsair CX550M Thank you to anyone to helps me out!
  7. haha, when I first built it I had to think twice about it. but yes it is plugged into the right spot I'm on 18.11.2, just updated to them to see if that was the problem
  8. MSI G24Q, I haven't tried to load a game because I can barely move my mouse without a huge lag spike
  9. I will try a few things, I don't really have a friend or anyone with a desktop that would work. thank you for the help:)
  10. I just bought a new 144hz monitor for black friday and when I got home and plugged everything in the screen was extremely laggy/choppy on DP. I swapped it for the in HDMI 1.4 cable and it wasn't choppy, but only reached 120hz. My gpu only supports 1080p 120hz, but doesn't say anything about DP. Is this a problem that can be solved with a new cable? or (hopefully not) gpu? System: R3 1200 PowerColour RX 580 4GB *UPDATE* I finally got it! there is a setting in AMD Radeon setting called "HDPC support", in the settings Display-specs-override-HDPC support, disable that on DP and it shoudl work!
