  1. Okay thanks! Last question, I have never bought off ebay. Is it safe?
  2. Is there some way that I can get 100-120hz without spending 100$ on an adapter?
  3. Not even the first one? It says ACTIVE tho
  4. I am thinking to give that a shot
  5. Do you think this will work? https://www.newegg.com/global/in-en/startech-com-dp2dvis/p/N82E16812200949?reviews=all&Description=display port to dvi active&cm_re=display_port_to_dvi_active-_-12-200-949-_-Product
  6. I recently built a ryzen 5 3600 build with zotac AMP edition 1660 super. My old monitor is Acer GN246HL. It only gives 144hz on Dvi-D port. My GPU has no Dvi D port and Only 3 Display ports and One HDMI. I know I can get 144 hz from any port off my GPU but the monitor just won't go beyond 75hz on HDMI to HDMI and I bought an amazon basic's HDMI to DVI cable that didn't went beyond 60hz on 1080p. Now I know I can return the GPU and go for a gpu that has DVI-D port and end this suffering but due to the lockdown, I cannot see any 1660 super with a DVI-D in my region (India) available right now. So can anyone suggest me a solution here? What kind of cable or adapter should I be looking for? It would be great if you can link one. Also, just to get it out of my system but there is no way that I can use the Dvi port on my motherboard and make it work with the monitor right? I tried and it said no signal(Ofcourse cause I dont have an iGpu) but still. Thanks in advance and stay safe!
  7. Need it for a while buddy cause I developed a little thingy that refuses to work on 1903 cause of the updated netframework 4.8 (Or so I believe) I know for a fact for it to work I need 1809 or 1803 so it sucks to know that I have to get a clean copy. Lemme know if you stumble on an older ISO
  8. I recently built my new PC and installed windows on it. It's been over 2 months, give or take a week and I am currently on Windows 10 PRO N build 1903 and I really need to go back to build 1803 or 1809. I tried rolling back from recovery but I had no luck as windows only allow to rollback in 10 days and not beyond that. I am attaching the screenshots of my update history and the recovery menu if that seems to be of any help. I prefer not losing data in the process no matter how hefty the solution might be.
  9. I agree. Built a super budget pc for a friend of mine with single 4gig stick on 2200g and the performance was terrible. Added another 4gig stick for dual channel 8gigs and it doubled the performance!
  10. I like what you've to say. Infact after moments of posting the question I found myself building a ryzen 5 2600+1060 6gig rig. I'm getting a job soon and I can upgrade to 2070 or something in 4/5months. Do you think ryzen 5 2600 and 550 watt psu is enough for rtx 2070?
  11. I'm thinking to build a new PC and I want it to be with 1660ti although Im on a tight budget. Would ryzen3 2200g with 8x2 Dual channel 3000mhz ram be enough? For the same price I can get intel 8400 and 8gb single stick ram, cheap motherboard (but will work fine) and gtx1060 gddr5x GPU. Which one among the two will be good? You can also suggest me a ryzen+1060 build if the price of that ryzen is same as i5 8400 or below I'm on a tight budget but here in SEAS the prices vary by a lot so giving a max amount in USD doesn't make sense as parts are kinda more expensive here but let's say I can't cross 750 USD.
  12. Yeah thanks for the info! Which cpu would be the most bang for the buck at lowest possible price point? LGA 1151 socket ofcourse
  13. Ya I swapped in a Samsung evo a couple days back. No performance improvement in games tho. Also I saw videos and benchmarks of g4560+1050ti. It can do 4k 60fps all the time on paladins with all settings cranked up. On 1080p it does 80 fps minimum for others with an avg of 120fps. I don't think 1050ti is that weak for esports title at all. Ram did made a really great performance improvement for my friend on ryzen 3. It almost doubled his performance in games. Although he was using 4gb stick and then he bought other 4gb for dual channel and the performance boost. I really believe it's the ram which makes these dips as I've researched and it's quite the case with most people in a similar position as mine. Just the thing is i wanna know if 4gig + 8gig stick(same make and same clocks) will perform similar (if not better) than a 4+4 sticks. I really dont need 16gigs of ram since i am not gonna use this pc for AAA titles or any productivity use anyway
