  1. So I found an external Toshiba hard drive and I'm having some issues. Its not being recognized in device manager, disk management, and other third party partition programs. I've tried to find the drivers for this hard drive and can't find them Its a Toshiba 500 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive HDDR500E04XK. Any help will be appreciated and if you have the drivers or the link to them that will also be greatly appreciated.
  2. I'm trying to use my Acer Aspire V (Windows 10) laptop and its not working. As soon as I turn it on, its just a black screen that flashes a lighter color constatly. 20191225_162437.mp4

  4. Whenever I start up my computer, it just stays on a black screen and I cant do anything but move my mouse on the screen. I was having problem with RAM so i changed it out and that hasnt seem to work at all. I'd appreciate any help I can get
  5. So I looked up the part that was wrong with my hard drive and from what I read it doesn't seem to be fixable so I'll probably just end up getting a new hard drive.
  6. Im going to send this and get back to you later cause i gotta head out to school now.
  7. so im using that program now and it the reallocated sector count has that yellow bubble next to it.
  8. So i think my windows is just kinda fucked now. A new error has occurred and this time its a file system error (-2147219195).
  9. Alright I'll give it a couple of days. Thanks for the really fast help btw.
  10. So I tried to change the speed for my RAM and it wouldn't let me change it. Right now its currently at 2133mhz and hoping that may fix it.
  11. I've always had it at 3200mhz but I could try dropping it down to something else. I don't know it would start up now but I'll give it a shot.
  12. Yeah so I blue screen again not once but twice just now. The first stop code was "system service exception" and the second one is "memory management". I honestly don't know what is going on anymore and its extremely frustrating.
  13. I've updated my BIOS and I'll get back to you if it happens again this week. Thank You.
  14. So I've been getting the same BSOD stop code "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" error for around 3-4 days now. I've tried updating windows, updating drivers, running SFC, running Windows Memory Diagnostic (logs gave me no clear problem), unplugging GPU and RAM and plugging them back in, and even factory reset my PC last night to only get a BSOD again. I think it has to do something with my hard drive because I after I unplugged it to put in a different one and plugged it back in, nothing has seemed to work right like downloading (CSGO having corrupted files when trying to download and infinitely downloading Borderlands 3) and games crashing when they haven't before. I want to say it might be something with my hard drive but I'm not the best in this portion of computers so if someone could give me some feedback that'd be nice.
  15. Don't ask how but I've somehow managed to keep my motherboard in place with two standoffs because they somehow disappeared over the 2 years of having it. I would appreciate if somebody could find or link me the type of standoffs the Z370M Pro4 use so I can have a stable motherboard.
  16. @Stefan Payne I'm not one of those people who flipped shit when Intel had a data breach and went to AMD. Plus I don't feel like wasting more money just to go to AMD.
  17. Yeah, I don't think that will really be the best option since I would have to sell my entire pc just to get enough money even then it will probably end out being similar. I'm just going to buy the i7 and the topic. Why build an entirely new system when I can just replace 2-3 parts and be good for awhile.
  18. I'm upgrading my CPU, your sentence confuses me I already have an i3 8100 and I'm going to upgrade to an i7 8700k I'm just stating that my processor is a coffee lake cpu that's why I'm getting an i7 8700k
  19. @DocSwag My motherboard is a Z370M pro4 since the i3 8100 is a coffee lake cpu and so is the i7 8700k
  20. So I plan on selling my old pc for around $400 dollars. I also have $110 dollars saved up so that leaves me with $510. Now I want to buy an i7 8700k and get the fractal design celsius s24 but I only have an EVGA GTX 1050ti SC. I have one friend saying I should just buy the i7 8700k then save up money for a better graphics card (I will have $153.43 after I sell). The other option is that I get an i5 8600k ($239) with the water cooler ($96.57), sell my current CPU (i3 8100 $100 since its used) and sell my current GPU for around $200 since they have gone up in price. That will leave me enough money to buy a gtx 1070. I don't know which one I want/should go with. I'm tempted to go with the first option so I can be good on a CPU for a long time then later buy a better GPU but I'm not a pro at this so I'll let somebody decide.
  21. Well that’s sad to hear but thank you for telling me
