So to start off, NO I do NOT have a virus. I've used several trusted antivirus/malware scans and none have ever found anything, and I have Superfetch disabled. I'm on Windows 10 home 64 bit. I have 16GB of DDR4 2400mhz RAM, and I'm wondering why my RAM usage is so high a lot of the time. After some investigating, I've found that I as a user am not using as much RAM as my system is using in an entirety (I'm the only user). To make this more clear, I took screenshots at idle with all my background tasks running, and in the first screenshot it shows my total (for all users/system) being 3.9GB, and the second shows only MY user, not the system, being 1.4GB. I notice that the system usually hogs up a SHITLOAD of my RAM when I'm running a game (such as Rust) and I end up crashing because of it after a while. Can anyone explain to me why my system ends up using up to 7GB of RAM more than it shows my user profile using? Cause this is getting annoying and I've looked into my processes and none of them add up to the amount it says is being used (see screenshot 3).
