  1. I derped and put a small nick/scratch in the very edge of the top of my green circuit board on my Ryzen 7 CPU moving to a new board. The chip still posts fine and I'm using it now to power my PC and type this thread. Should I be concerned? ITs not on the heat spreader or near the pins.
  2. MSI afterburner. Download it and have fun, just mind your temps stay below 83cish under full load when you overclock your card
  3. Actually I dropped the voltage to 1.31. even under synthetic load it holds in the high 80's
  4. Here's a question for those of you experienced in the OC Game. I have a MSI B350 tomahawk motherboard with a Ryzen 7 1700. What is the maximum temp range for my VRM under synthetic load to be at before I significantly risk breaking my board/CPU?
  5. OK, after tweaking some settings and boning up on prime 95 and hwmonitor (I'm pretty new to the world of OC CPU's) my VRM caps off at 96C under full max synthetic load after about 20 minutes. Is that acceptable?
  6. Scratch that, after 10 minutes of prime 95 i got 74C on CPU and in the low 40's for system temps. CM HAF case for the win! REVISED: Actually low 60's for system, I wasnt reading hwmonitor correct
  7. Running a cool 37 C under load in system temps 43C on CPU
  8. Depends on the cooling method and what sort of air flow/ water cooling solution you have in place. I have a ahigh air flow case from Cm with a multi fan push pull config keeping things cool.

  10. After doing some research I discovered this... Clears up a lot of confusion in regards to Ryzen 7 and OC
  11. That makes sense. Well according to the Bios im at 1.37 so Im within AMD's parameters for "Safe" OC. plus I have a CM 212 Evo as a aftermarket cooler so my temps rarely go above 70 now that I have adjusted the fan curve. I should be good
  12. Good call, I got it to work at 1.38. Can anyone tell me through why my Ryzen master software always reports my voltage like .02 higher than what I have it set in the Bios of my b350 board? Is that a common issue or am I missing something?
  13. Update: Scratch that, tried to render a 20 minute 1080p video and watch some 4k content on youtube and it crashed after a few minutes. I'm just going to stick with 3.7 as I know it chugs along even under load
