I think I'm gonna lower the core voltage to 1.195. The stress test never showed the voltage go above 1.190, and I have mine set to 1.225. Also, should I lower the ring ratio?

Well, I did the stress test with the Intel Extreme Utility. It pretty much was in the 65-70C range with 100% utilization. So, why do I have a high temp with 5 times less utilization..

I used everything like this except the voltage is lower to 1.225 due to only 4.4 overclock.

Of course I did. What kind of question is that. The one that came with the Noctua cooler. Are you saying I should reapply it?? Does anyone else have this cpu with that cpu cooler?

The 8700k is overclocked to just 4.4GHz, with Noctua NH-D15S, and with 3 Silent Wing 3 system fans in a Define Mini C case. The utilization in this graph for the last 10 minutes was always below 20%, yet the temp was between 55 and 65c. I don't think this is normal. To get those temps with all fans running at 100%, it's also noisy, despite Silent Wing 3 fans supposedly being the most quiet ones. I even got the Silent Wing 3 140mm fan for the CPU cooler.

What exactly is the purpose of overdrive, I have it set to medium.

I just bought this highly rated monitor. It's a 27", IPS, 165Hz, Gsync, 2560x1440 resolution. I want to have the best picture quality possible, so has anyone found the settings that are considered the best: brigthness contrast red color green color blue color gamma overdrive

if the auto sets it to 1.4v, I think that would be an overkill for a 4.5GHz, it should be below 1.3v.

I recently bought this configuration: 8700k Define Mini C Silent Wings 3: rear one 120mm PWM, front two 140mm PWM motherboard MSI Z370M gaming PRO AC mATX G.SKILL 16GB Trident Z DDR4 3200MHz CL16 kit.F4-3200C16D-16GTZB NOCTUA NH-D15S BE QUIET! Straight Power 10 600W CM (gold) I was told that this offers the best cooling and silence, and that the Silent Wings 3 fans are virtually inaudible at highest speed as well as the PSU. So, I think that is a solid base for overclocking, however, I would still overclock it to only 4.5GHz, to prolong the longevity of the components. I would also turn off the "multi-core enhancement" boost. I've never overclocked a CPU before, so I would appreciate your help.
