  1. I will be using my 55' 4K tv at 60hz. I'm not interested for more fps, I just play single player. I want the highest possible game settings and resolution as close as possible to 60fps.
  2. I didn't buy the Flare x. I Bought the Gskill 3200 TridentZ. Is it going to be a problem? I really like the looking of Asus Rog Strix but I read some really bad reviews on newegg...Honestly I don't know what to buy... I have already purchased Corsair RMx 650 PSU, Gskill 16gb 3200mhz 14cas RAM and Ryzen 7 1700. Now I need a good-looking and qualitive motherboard to finish my rig.
  3. Does it worth to go for the Asus in your opinion and out of the vrm perspective ?
  4. So if I'm not wrong, I will get 3200mhz on both ASRock Fatal1ty and Asus Strix as well as 3.7ghz with ryzen 1700 but the Asus has better VRMs and is more qualitive in general right?
  5. Well I do care for the updates because at the moment there are still many issues with the ryzen processors and it's getting better and better from update to update. That's why I count it. So which x370 would be the better choice in your opinion for overclocking the 1700 and be able to run my memory at 3200mhz?
  6. And what about the ram compatibility ? Will the ASRock run the g-skill tridentz at 3200mhz with no problems? This specific model I purchased is not included in the QVL of the motherboard but I read a post in another forum of a G-Skill technician who said that this g-skill version is the only 3200 which is compatible with Ryzen and X370 AM4. What do you think? Am I going to be ok with ASRock or does it worth to go for the Asus strix ?
  7. Hello guys, I'm about to upgrade my pc. I have already bought a gtx 1080 and earlier today I ordered a pair of ram: G.Skill TridentZ RGB 16GB DDR4-3200MHz (F4-3200C14D-16GTZR) and also Ryzen 7 1700. Now I have to choose my PSU and MOBO: For PSU I would be perfect I guess with 650w Gold and I was looking for the Evga G2 but is out of stock at the moment in my country so my choises are either Corsair RMx Series 650X or if I still want to go with Evga, I can find the G2 750w. The difference between the corsair 650 and evga 750 is 30 euro. What do you think? For the motherboard I would like to go for an X370 because I've heard that they get more updates and bug-fixes in comparison with the cheaper B350. So, I'm between three different price levels: the Asrock Fatal1ty Gaming X (140 euro), the Asus Rog Strix X370-F (190 euro) and the Asus Rog Crosshair VI Hero (240 euro). I do care for the beauty of the card and RGB lightning but the most important is the quality of VRMS and also cpu and ram overclocking. I want to be able to overclock the 1700 ryzen to 3.7ghz at least (with the stock cooler) and also I want to clock my tridentz rgb ram to 3200mhz. I know that there are issues with ryzen and motherboards when it comes to the memory. So which mobo do you suggest me? any of the three I mentioned or something else? Of course I would like to go with the cheaper option but just in case I will be able to run my pc smooth and stable after overclocking both CPU (at 3.7) and Memory (at 3200). If Fatal1ty could handle this and the other two mobos are an overkill and just more-bucks for the fancy look then I would go with the Asrock. Otherwise, I would give some more money to achieve a smooth and stable overclocking with the Ryzen 1700. Looking forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks in advance.
  8. I thought that if you play 1080p for example, then the cpu needs to work more. if you try higher resolution then the pressure goes to the gpu and the cpu works better. Thats why most of the people told me to prefer playing in 4k than 1080p. Because currently i have a poor cpu with a hi-end gpu. If the game settings and quality doesnt affect the cpu then it makes sense to go with ryzen. I mean that if ryzen 1600 could easily handle any game in any resolution in ultra high settings at 60fps then there is no need to go with intel and I could surely save some money. Is it like this? And what happens outside the gaming perspective? In multitasking, productivity etc will ryzen 1600 be better tham the new i5 8600k?
  9. Yeah but gaming is more important than rendering to me. I mean, I do both but mostly gaming. Rendering is not priority, I just want to don't have any serious issues when I have to render. My average daily usage of my pc is mostly for watching movies in HQ, browsing on the web and using programs like Microsoft Office, Photoshop and Lightroom. I want the best possible performance and multitasking between all the above. Secondly, I play a lot of games (only single player) and having a 55'' 4K TV along with a gtx 1080GPU, I want to be able to play new generation games in the highest possible settings having stable 60fps. I want to make this happen for 1080p gaming and why not for 4K as well with just a little adjustment in the game settings maybe. I read on the web that i5 would be way better in this case in comparison with ryzen. Last in line priority is rendering. Sometimes I use Premiere and After Effects for making short clips but that's all, it might be less than 5-6 times in a year.
  10. Around 250-300€ for CPU, 150-200€ for MOBO and for RAM I have no idea... I would like to take a pair with at least 3000mhz or more I guess... but if I go for 16GB it would be very expensive. Will I be ok with 8gb ram at 3000+ mhz? And also is it possible to upgrade to 16gb in the future adding another pair of 8gb? Whats the difference between having 16gb (2x8gb) or 16gb (4x4) ? I think at the moment I could go for 150-200€ maximum for RAM. Gia sou file!
  11. Hello guys, I'm willing to upgrade my pc and I am searching for a good combo of CPU-MOBO-RAM. I have already purchased a GTX 1080 GPU so I also need to upgrade the rest parts as well for a completely new rig. I'm using my pc for normal daily use (movies, browsing etc) and I also work on photoshop periodically or even sometimes I work on some videos as well. Rendering is not my priority but I do care about it as well. Gaming of course is a thing I do care even more after purchasing the gtx1080 but so far it bottlenecks with my current old cpu. I would like to be able to play at 60fps on ultra high settings at 1080p and why not to have a fair fps rate at 4k as well. Can you suggest me any combo ? Should I go with intel or ryzen? I was thinking of buying the new i5 8600k with an asus prime z370 mobo or maybe the gigabyte aorus ultra game series. What do you think? And also, is it better to go with a 6core i5 or with a 4core i7 for example? Need your advices and suggestions! Thank you in advance
  12. All my inputs are HDMI 2.0, just checked this. And there is an option to enable/disable UHD Color on each input seperately. So what am I supposed to do in order to be able to turn on the UHD Color ? Get a HDMI 2.0 cable or this repeater I posted before? PS: UHD Color means 4:4:4 (4k@60hz) right?
  13. I don't understand... If cable don't make difference then why there is no signal when I turn on the UHD Color ? I have heard that most of the cables do not support 4K signal at 60hz so I thought that's why my display gives just 30hz at 4k, because the UHD Color is off. But when I turn it on there is no signal, because of the cable probably. And then I found this HDMI Repeater in the photo which says that transform the signal to 4k@60hz so I will be able to turn on UHD Color on my TV and finally have a display of 4k@60hz
  14. @ApolloX75 unfortunately I have really bad results fps-wise even in 1080p with MSAA and antifiltering off. With such settings I am around 30-35 fps average. That's probably because of my cpu which I knew that would bottleneck my GPU but i didn't expect it that bad in 1080. I have the 8320 fx overclocked to 4.000 and I try to find a combination with the best possible graphics from one side and 50-60 fps on the other side until I upgrade my CPU, MOBO and RAM.
  15. @PETRGangKing I found this setting you mentioned for the UHD Color on my 4k TV. When I turn it on there is no signal because of the cable probably. However if I go for a 10meter 60hz hdmi cable it will be too expensive. I found something like a repeater which turns the HDMI Cable to 4K/60hz signal 4:4:4. Check out the pic below. Do you know if such a thing would work?
