  1. i actually modded the case, its an enermax steelwing case, and i cut out the spot where a 2.5" ssd would mount because i was originally planning on putting a custom watercooled loop in it and needed space for the rad, but i changed plans and now am gonna use it for this pc
  2. just trust me on this using a pcie slot is better that using velcro to attach a regular ssd somewhere else in the case since the way i have the system there is no drive bay or anything like that, also i want to avoid using extra wires in the tiny case
  3. The reason i'm considering it is a tiny system with little room so an nvme drive would be best, and i may have an extra nvme drive to use when i upgrade the one in my main pc
  4. specs for this system motherboard:asrock b85m-gl (doesn't have m.2 slots) cpu intel i5 4570 ram: 16gb ddr3 i plan to use this as the only drive in the system, so t specify i need to know if its bootable
  5. specs for this system motherboard:asrock b85m-gl (doesn't have m.2 slots) cpu intel i5 4570 ram: 16gb ddr3 i plan to use this as the only drive in the system, so t specify i need to know if its bootable
  6. Does anyone know if I use a m.2 nvme ssd in a m.2nvme to pcie adapter will this work on a 4th gen intel system edit: specs for this system motherboard:asrock b85m-gl (doesn't have m.2 slots) cpu intel i5 4570 ram: 16gb ddr3 edit: i plan to use this as the only drive in the system, so t specify i need to know if its bootable
  7. Hey, I bought a cheap blu ray reader for my pc off amazon and it didnt come with any kind of software to read the blu ray disks. Does anyone know a good program to download to use this? Also BTW I plan to rip the movies off my dvds and blu ray disks in the future to put on a media server that i plan to create, and would like recommendations on how to go about that as well please. Here is the link to it on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IL02TUE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  8. i ordered an i7-2640m it's also 35W TDP, also i plan to use thermal grizzly liquid metal to keep it extra cool
  9. I just got a 2640m off eBay for $35 and plan to use liquid metal
  10. I found a 2640m on eBay for cheaper, so I order that since it's just the slightly higher clocked 2620m
  11. I understand, that was my original plan, I just was hoping to get away with a ridiculously more powerful cpu
  12. oh ok, i wasnt sure about what to do with bios if i decide to do it
  13. yes, it uses pga988b so it actually has a socket, i've replaced motherboard in past
