  1. Is there honestly nothing else that i can do? get an adapter or SOMETHING? its a downright shame that the subwoofer cant pick up the other bass, i really think there should be some kind of way to make this work... attatched file is the connection that anothertom and dackzy suggest:
  2. thanks alot for responding everybody! i'll have the chance to try those connections later on in the week and i'll keep this topic updated, because i am certain that more people than just me have this kind of bad combo if anyone has anything else to add, any different connections i should try then post a comment
  3. Wondering if my mackie cr4 has any way of allowing me to plug in my Sony SA-W2500 Active subwoofer directly into the Powered speaker? do i need anything else to make it work, any cables, amp, audio interface, reciever? let me know
  4. well what exactly will i need to get all of this to work
  5. I'm very new to a home sound setup but i recently bought a Sony SA-W2500 Active subwoofer (https://www.cnet.com/products/sony-sa-w2500/specs/) from my friend for dirt cheap. He didn't really tell me much other than that he used a Reciever to power it up along with speakers that honestly looked like pillars. Im really unsure as to what equipment i will be needing to make this baby work... It is a subwoofer after all so i will of course need speakers, not sure which type i should get though. My room is in the basement and its quite a big room (maybe 3 meters long and 5 meters wide, it has wood walls and is directly connected to the living room and a staircase going up, so it isn't exactly square shaped. So I'm looking for sound that can fill up my whole room consistently without me having to buy one of those surround sound packages which include several speakers, in this case i'm only looking for 2 speakers to fill the room. As I said, i have a subwoofer lying around which i want to work, and apparently my friend said u needed a reciever but theyre soo expensive ); If anyone has a lead on great speakers that fill an entire room, and something to make it all work then leave a comment! budget is about 260$ (might adjust)
