  1. Thanks everyone for the replies, I broke it (very carefully) with a hammer and the replacement is on the way. Kind of a cool practice when you come to think of it. Very liberating.
  2. Let's unite the silvers! Anyone on this thread can also add me, really desperate for some silver friends. About 450hrs of gameplay and i have a mic! http://steamcommunity.com/id/sexyhans/
  3. Hi, i picked up the game three weeks ago, and I really like it so far, even though I am the noobest of the noobs. I'll add you if you don't mind, not sure if our schedule will ever be similar but whatever.
  4. Hi, had the exact same problem. No error message, temperature spikes or anything in the log. I tried every freakin thing I could find on Google and forums, swapped my entire rig piece by piece with another AM3+ system and it turned out my FX8350 was bad. It was overclocking itself to about 4.33ghz no matter what settings I was putting it into. Had to RMA, and since then no problem. Not sure if this can help in your case but it seems to be an extremely similar case to mine, and a quick search will show you that it seems to be quite a common problem unfortunately. Good luck! 6. Hi! I had the same exact problem as you. Everything froze all the time, with no spikes of temperature and no error messages, not even in the log. Tried to fresh install Windows 7 and 10 about 5 times, swapping my SSD for a HDD with no luck. So I swapped every single part of my rig with a whole other AM3+ system I had on hand, and it turned out it was my FX8350 that was acting up. As soon as I put it in the other system the whole thing just froze completely, while my PC with the other CPU was running completely fine. In the meanwhile I even bought a new mobo, but turned out to be useless. So I RMAd the CPU and got a replacement about a month ago, but even if it was WAY more reliable than before, it still crashed once or twice again. Turned out my PSU was also bad (fryed my GPU, lucky me), even if the PSU tester was indicating a very steady voltage. I got my new PSU 4 days ago and no crashes yet even if I intentionally make my computer run 24 hours and reboot it every once in a while (fingers crossed). So long story short, RMA your CPU if you are still under warranty, it may be irreversibly damaged, and check very closely your PC for any PSU-related problems. I'd even think about like a preventive RMA for it. 7. I paid mine (which was a 500gb about that age) 300 CAD in Quebec. The market here for used consoles is really crap but I got FH2 and BF1 for free with it and it is still under warranty, so I dont mind that much. I guess you could find cheaper nowadays though.
  8. Hi everyone, I realize this is a strange question. I have to return an Antec HCG-750M for RMA, so I filed the form. About an hour later, I received an email from an Antec representative (with a legit email address) saying that I need to smash my PSU with a hammer and that he will send me a brand new PSU in exchange, without me having to send the old unit back. Has anyone ever had an experience like this? Do I actually have to smash my PSU with a hammer? (Not that I wouldn't be happy to, this thing got me headaches). Thanks for the attention
