  1. It's about a year and a half old, so isn't too bad. I believe it's compatible with LGA1156 Socket, Socket AM2+, Socket AM3, LGA1155 Socket, LGA2011 Socket, LGA1150 Socket, LGA2011-3 Socket, LGA1151 Socket, Socket AM4, LGA2066 Socket, Socket sTR4, Socket sTRX4, LGA1200 Sockets
  2. Hi all, Looking for some advice on updating my PC build. I've not upgraded in several years now and it's starting to show. I've also been very out of touch with the latest releases and what is to go to parts to pick. My current build is: i7 4790K Corsair H150i Elite Capellix AIO Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mk1 16GB Avexir Core DDR3 RAM Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080 Corsair AX706i PSU Lian Li O11D XL Case (latest thing to update) I'm looking to keep, unless suggested other wise, to keep the case, PSU, graphics card and CPU Cooler. Main use of the PC is for gaming and use for working at home (I have a triple screen setup also). I don't have a budget but obviously looking to keep is realistic as I won't be streaming or working on video editing etc. If you need any further information to help me, please let me know.
  3. Looks like the M50X's are popular and they're fairly cheap. Will watch some reviews of them and possibly pick them up. Thanks for all the recommendations so far guys. Keep them coming if you think there are better ones than the M50X's.
  4. Hi all, So I am looking for a good pair of headphones or earphones for a long plane journey, so preferably comfy and have noise cancelling. I am flying to Japan and all in it will take 15 hours there and back. Only headphones I have right now are the Beats Studios (lets not talk about them, I was young and gave into the media pressure. I didn't know how bad they actually were.). Little information - I don't mind if it's headphones or earphones, I don't have a preference. I am from the UK and not looking to spend more than £150 (I could go a little higher if they're worth it). They will be used on a range of music from EDM, house, rap and pop (got to get the TSwift in my life) as well as movies and my handheld console. Think that's all you need, if you need any more information just ask away. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
  5. It's the display port cable causing the issue. Each monitor only has 1 cable plugged in. I've swapped cables wrong from monitor to monitor and whichever monitor that cable is plugged into just has the same issue
  6. Hey guys, So I have a strange issue, I think its a defective cable issue but just wanted to double check that I wasn't being an idiot. My setup is: 3 x Asus VG248QE - 2 hooked up to DP and one hooked up to DVI GTX 980 (Gigabyte G1) So the issue is when I start up one of my monitors doesn't get a picture but when I pull the display port cable out of the monitor and plug it in again it gets a picture. I tried the cable on the other 2 monitors and its the same issue. I previously had it set up with one on DVI, 1 on HDMI and one on DP so I was thinking maybe I have it in the wrong config. So do you think its just a defective cable being weird or am I doing something wrong? Thanks
  7. Hey guys, So I was running a triple monitor setup on my GTX 980 (1 HDMI, 1 DVI-D, 1 HDMI to DP Active converter) and all was good. I decided I wanted to buy a new monitor each month and upgrade my 4 year old monitors I already have so I bought an Asus VG248QE and it just arrived today. The issue here is my triple monitor setup isn't working. I bought a new Displayport cable to go with the monitor so I would be running DP, DVI-D and HDMI but the Displayport wasn't being recognised. I then tried DVI-D, DVI and HDMI and still wasn't working, only picture I was getting was on HDMI and DVI-D (1 old monitor and Asus monitor) so I know the Asus monitor works. I then unplugged everything and tried Displayport only and no signal. Is there some setting in the Nvidia control panel I need to change, something in the BIOS or do you think I have a broke cable/displayport connector on the Asus monitor? Any help would be much appreciated.
  8. Hey guys, So i recently did my first build by myself, am I now a man?, but I've noticed that my GTX 980 is sagging a bit. I will include a photo and hopefully it shows it well but it was just to see if I should I be worried about it and how do I go about fixing it? Thanks
  9. Hey everyone, My friend is looking for a cheap gaming laptop for around £300-£500 and we are in the UK. I have no idea about laptops hence why I am here. He will be using it for daily use but mainly gaming such as minecraft and battlefield. Also might be doing a bit of recording and editing. I realize for such a low price he isn't going to get anything that can run everything on high settings but looking for something that will just run things smoothly. Any help is appreciated
  10. I was looking at these but they just take up too much space and I would have no where to put them. I have a box for a room, my setup is literally touching my bed haha
  11. Not short on cash, short on space really, would be mainly used on a desk. Was looking at these since LED ones aren't recommended http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ex-Pro-Professional-Continuous-Lighting-Stands/dp/B001PBJTYG/ref=pd_cp_ph_3
  12. If you have any recommendations hit me with some links please
  13. Looking to improve my lighting and not sure what way to go. I've been swaying towards LED spot lights as they're compact as I have a small area to work with where as soft boxes most of the time take up a lot of room. I would also be using these for when I stream, so getting a little tripod and sitting them on my desk for better lighting too. I've been looking at theses http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CU2LF5A/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1T8PWVFQX159NJNHZQRC&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=455344027&pf_rd_i=468294 but do you think soft boxes are a better path to go? Use would be for video, photographs and for my face when streaming using webcam and not really got an idea of budget for this, lets say £100-£150ish
  14. So many choices, if only I won the lottery, would make things so much easier. Thanks a lot for all the advice man.
  15.
