Why not get an ultrawide 34 in 3440x1440p monitor? Since you're planning on SLI anyway.. 3 way SLI from what i have seen doubt it works properly on most games but i m not going to say its totally wothless even though nvidia officially doesnt support it. They have some KEY thing that allows 3 way and 4 way lol . I think 2 1080s at that resolution will do fine. X99 i think is a fantastic choice if u want to run cpu dependent games with expansions and everything...sims 3 with all expansions for example lags on my core i5 6500. Maybe thats because its an older game idk. There's my two cents. Happy Gaming

Thanks for the reply. Lmao the fast sync option was just sitting there in the control panel and i never even noticed. The 1060 was my original choice anyway. . Its a good time to be a pc gamer

I am looking to get a new monitor to replace my ageing 1080p monitor. I will be playing mostly open world games and watching movies. The real problem is that G-Sync monitors are very expensive so i am planning to get an RX 480 too. Please help.
