  1. Hi all, recently I have been noticing extreme latency spikes especially when playing FPS games from 20-30ms to 50-60ms ever couple of seconds, and it may not seem like it is that much of a big jump, whenever it jumps it slightly lags, (slight rubber banding) and sometimes teleports me to places I was a split second ago. This issue has been persistent for about a week... I am at a college dorm so there is nothing I can do related to accessing the routers information.. What is very weird is that this issue did not happen over a week ago.. Not sure what suddenly changed, and I have tested on other peoples devices and the lag is persistent, but not nearly as bad as the lag that I have been experiencing. The motherboard I have is the Asus ROG STRIX B550-F I will include a short video here showing what lag I am experiencing. Take note of the slight lag spikes and the latency rising to 50-60ms each time is lags. https://gfycat.com/sillyincompatibleamericancreamdraft Notice how when i run in a straight line more towards the beginning of the game, it hiccups, or slightly lags. I am positive this is not FPS even though it may seem like it is the frames. I have also noticed this in games such as Valorant, when I move it rubberbands me slightly, just like COD. My question is there a way I can fix this on my windows PC? I have already updated the WIFI card drivers etc. Is there also a way to tell if it is the internet here or if it is my computer causing the issue. If it is my pc causing the issue, I would be more than happy to invest in a wifi card. Thanks in advance!
  2. Hey all. I recently bought the Spectre x360 4k version, but am not in love with the touchpad. It feels a bit wonky and was wondering if i should get precsision touchpad. Now heres the thing, I looked up how to get precision touchpad on my machine, haven't really got the same exact model tested, but I have seen spectre x360 13 inch model from the 2017 used with precision. I looked up this guide, and found on on reddit. It says for HP spectre x360 or synaptics touchpad, make sure you're touchpad is called Synaptics SMbus Touchpad in the device manager before uninstalling it. My touchpad is called Synaptics SMBus ClickPad just like that. First of all the B is not capitalized in the post, and it says clickpad instead of TouchPad. DO these mean anything? Also do you think these websites he is posting is safe? Thanks!
  3. Ok cause I would think if u dowscaled it would go down right?
  4. I’m saying from 720 to 1080
  5. I have another monitor, 4K just wondering if I can bump my 720 to 1080
  6. Hey all I was wondering if I used DSR on my 720 p monitor and pumped it up to 1080 p to play fortnite. First of all how do I do this? Kind of new to advanced tech. Thanks in advance! my specs GTX 1080 i7 6800k 16gb Corsair vengeance ram
  7. Ok thanks. I just don't like the screen tearing I have been getting with my monitor. I am forced to turn on V-sync but the input lag is terrible. Is there any way to get faster input?
  8. Ok. One more question, do you know how to cap a framerate at 58 or 59? Also, what does this do?
  9. In my Nvidia control panel it says that vertical sync is using the 3D application setting. What does this mean? Should i turn it off?
  10. Alright. Yes I know what Vsync does but the input lag is terrible. Is there any way to fix that?
  11. Let me start off with my specs: GTX 1080 FTW Corsair Vengenace 16gb ram Intel core i7 6800k So currently have a monitor that has a 4k display with 60 hz. While playing some games I realized that there was a lot of screen tearing when my fps was between 90-120. If I were to have a 144hz monitor with 90-120 frames would there still be screen tearing? Thanks in advance.
  12. So when I am playing a game, let's say Fortnite and when I get into the game my mouse seems to have a turning delay. My V-sncy is off. So I restart my pc and that seems to fix the problem for a little bit but when I shut down my pc overnight then come back on it happens again. I am not sure what to do with this problem. Thanks in advance.
