  1. Thank you so much! I now understand that 2400 is the base.
  2. Thanks so much. Reading further it looks like it says Ryzen processors support 3200+(OC). Not the board itself.
  3. Hi all, So, I think I may have made a mistake in ordering upgrades for my PC. I'm pretty new at this. I've ordered an AB350M PRO4 mobo. I accidentally ordered Ripjaws V 3200 MHz 16GB. I wanted a 2x8 setup. But I figured I'd use it anyways and if it performs slightly worse, so be it. However, the new mobo user manual says the maximum supported ram frequency is 2400. The board was advertised as 3200+. I feel like I'm missing something here. Can I use the Ripjaws V ram stick? Processor is a Ryzen 1600x. Thanks so much for the help. Don't want to blow up my new components. Cheers
  4. Haha, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Is there any significant difference between different B350 models or can I just get the cheapest one ~$70 and pick appropriate 2x8GB 3000+ RAM?
  5. This is good info. Unless something comes overclocked from the box, I won't be overclocking anything. I just need a budget upgrade that will last. I don't need a monster pc. Thanks!
  6. Thanks. Does it matter what type of B350 motherboard I get?
  7. Yeah, I've been reading about all kinds of stuff. Always learning more stuff. Thanks for the help!
  8. Do you have any recommendations for RAM? I know very little about brand. Additionally, I assume if I google XMP RAM tune I'll be able to figure out what that means? Thanks!
  9. Accidentally posted early. That is actually the build I had in mind. First post is now edited. Thanks for the reply!
  10. Hi all, I'm not knowledgeable at all with pc builds. I built a budget gaming pc a few years back from an online guide. My computer has been having trouble with newer titles, so it's time for an upgrade and I would love some upgrade advice. I need BUDGET advice. My current build: CPU: AMD FX-6300 GPU: AMD R9 270X RAM: Crucial BLS4G3D1609DS 2x4GB MBD: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P HDD: 1TB drive doesn't matter I'll get an SSD later I recently purchased a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080. Let me know if you need more info on this. I wanted a cheaper card, but all the decent mid-range cards are being up sold for like $450 anyways. $510 for the 1080 seemed to make the most sense. That being said, I need the rest of my upgrades to be BUDGET. A build I came up with that might be my best option: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 GPU: GTX 1080 RAM: HyperX Fury DDR4 2666 C15 2x8GB EDIT: Is there a better option here? MBD: Asus PRIME B350M-A I made this on a pc builder site. Let me know if this makes sense. From what I understand all CPUs with AM3+ are not great, so it's best to get the new motherboard. Thanks all, Sorry I don't know what I'm doing.
