funny enough im trying to do that as we speak im hoping it will solve the issue

its not coil whine though as i know what that sounds like its not anything like that its a soft noise its not like coil whine which is more like a grinding or a heavy sound if that makes sence

so im not the only one with the issue then with the gt70 now i feel less worried about it causeing damage ill look in to what everyone has said and see what i can do to stop it.

hey everyone i have recently brought a msi gt70 and since the first day ive had it there has been a high pitched noise coming from the left hand side from boot up. So far i have been unable to solve the issue but have found a temp fix, if i turn the fan on to max speed then turn off the leds on the steel series keyboard it stops, i can then turn the fan onto normal and the lights back on. This fixes the issue till reboot or i close the lid any ideas on what it could be? i know its not the keyboard as i have swaped it out with a new one i tried to record it but the noise cant be captured on video so its hard to get troubleshooting its not like a wine more like when you just turn on a crv tv and that noise at the start

seem to see alot of people asking if having a better cpu and higher end ram along with more of it will make a difference, the answer is yes it will. The reason people go around saying it won't is due to missunderstanding what they are on about, i myself have an msi gt70 basic specs: intel i7 3840qm 2.8ghz-3.8ghz, Nvidia gtx 680m 4gb, 32gb corsair vengance 1600mhz ram, 256gb crutial m4 ssd with 750gb 7200rpm seagate hdd. Now to clear things up the gtx 680m running crysis 3 on ultra should run around 23-27fps in a high demand area but, i my self have never dropped under 30 fps and this is through extensive testing. the reason people will tell you that cpu and ram wont increase your fps is only due to the price factor and how little of a difference it can make, but do keep in mind should you hear some one say it does nothing just remember that it isn't always true. Hey everyone just wanting some full builds you would recommend that will be able to run games like crysis 3 farcry 3 ect on max settings im awear that it's overkill but it something i would like to do Obviously the less i spend the better but I am happy spending the full budget i need complete builds case cooling cpu gpu ect everything thanks!

hey guys i was interested to know if anyone has tried crysis 3 on an msi gt70, the model im about to buy has the 680m so if you have that or even the lower models such as the 675m or 670m it would be a great deal of help if i can have list of max settings and a quick spec list it would be much appreciated

damn hopefully a 680m will do the trick for now and next gen aren't to far ahead

So with the release of the titan im wondering if there is some new laptop gpu's on the way. i my self am a mobile gamer i enjoy being able to trave to a mates place and lan or jump into a game with them in the same room so i see the 680m and think well the 690 has been released now the titan no 680mx or 690m? because i m about to buy a new gaming laptop and as im putting 3-4 thousand into it i dont want to buy a shity 680m that runs bf3 on 36fps even with all the money into it or a re there new cards on the way?

i mean in a laptop in one of its hdd bays, i know it can use a raid set up as it can come stock in raid 0 with 2 msata drives and im not sure if because i am able to use 2 in raid can i connect 2 with out the raid in just the one bay like it is when in raid if that makes any sense sorry im kinda tired haha

can i fit 2 msatas into one hard drive bay and use them both or do they need to be in raid?
