I'm sure he will only be gaming. He said that, but he isn't the kind of person who would want people to watch him play. The more I think about it the more I can't see him streaming.

I was trying not to spend the whole budget and just feel like the extra $100 would be wasted on the 8700k. I will probably be changing the cooler and PSU though. He was kind of set on that case which I didn't mention and that's why I had the SanDisk so it would match since it's so front and center in that case...

My roommate wants me to build him his first rig at the end of the month. We are in Denver, CO. So we have a local Microcenter. Budget: $1000-$1400 Aim: GAMING. He currently plays FF15 but wants to be able to play whatever. Doesn't plan on streaming or anything but said the option would be nice in the future. Monitors: He will just be using his TV for awhile but he wants to get a 1080/144 monitor soon. Other: NZXT S340... Black and Red... Wants it to look good too! Definitely not getting a new console. And I've only heard bad things about PowerDVD. I'd like to just get one of the premium programs but I guess no one recommends any of them? A dedicated player is a last resort.

I'm looking to upgrade from Leawo's free Blu-Ray Player Software. The UI and "Menu" are terrible and it won't play some of my BDs. I thought a free program would've been fine since I have mostly DVDs, but it has been a hassle to navigate the handful of BDs that I've watched with it. I'm fine purchasing one but I have only heard bad things about different programs so I was hoping someone could help me find something else. Also, I could just not know how to use Leawo correctly. So if anyone thinks that's my problem, let me know! ?

I thought this might've been the one. Until I showed it to my wife and she informed me that I have to put it in the entertainment center, not on the side table. So that case will be about 1/2 in. too tall.

I like this one! Forgot to mention I need the Optical Drive though. Not sure if that changes much.
