  1. I appreciate your response! I’m going to see if I can wiggle him down a bit from $550, seems to have a solid upgrade path should I choose to beef up the CPU/GPU
  2. Budget (including currency): ~$500 CAD Country: Canada, BC, Vancouver Island Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1080p gaming, possibility of audio recording Other details 75hz ASUS monitor, have peripherals including mic/mouse/keyboard already Hello friends, I'm considering purchasing a second hand PC off of Facebook Marketplace, appears to be a reputable seller My current specs are CPU: i5 3570k @ 3.4ghz PSU: 450w Corsair MB: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 RAM: 16gb Storage: Samsung SSD 860 evo 500gb PC in question is: CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 PSU: 600w Thermaltake MB: Rog Strix b550f GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 1080ti 11GB RAM: 16gb Corsair veng ddr4 Storage: 1tb gen4 firecuda starwars edition rgb m.2 nvme SSD He's asking for $550 CAD, might be able to wiggle down - but overall, is the build path worth spending the money on? Or would it better to just buy newer hardware I don't tend to game a lot, but notice that with current CPU I can't even keep LoL & a webpage open at the same time without impacting performance. Let me know if there's any other questions, happy to respond. I have a few other GPU's sitting around and would be willing to part ways with my current PC set-up, wouldn't expect much more than $200-250?
  3. You’ve been more than helpful my friend, greatly appreciate your assistance. turns out the bloke who’s selling it actually used to work with me a short while ago. and that website is great for comparison of GPUs
  4. And still able to run with the 450w? i know that the newer cards are more efficient at managing power
  5. Hey everyone, just a quick question a GeForce GTX 960 4GB just came up for sale in my local area (Van Island BC) for 100$ CAD. woild it be a decent upgrade from my GTX 660ti? And able to run with my current 450w PSU (Corsair CX450M) im hoping to sell the 660 off cheap to recoup some of the cost of the 960 just trying to figure out if it’ll be worth it.
  6. thanks for all the help their guys much appreciated, he went a different route with a Fifine T669
  7. Opinions on the Cloud Hyper X quadcast? friend of mine is starting his twitch stream and the last piece of it he needs is a decent microphone

    New monitor

it'll be smack dab in the middle of my desk just like my current one, I thinked i lucked out with the price as well only downside is it's about a 45 minute drive from my house lol. but yeah, 75hz versus the 55hz i get with my current

    New monitor

forgot to mention it is the Q version, so 80,000,000:1 contrast ratio, my current daily driver is a 1920x1080P Dell monitor model #: ST2321LF and this Asus would replace that

    New monitor

Hello monitor community! my first post here, be gentle I found a used Asus 28” monitor in my local area for 35$ (CAD) model #: VX278 was just wondering what the opinion of this unit is, if anyone’s used it or had any problems. thanks in advance!
  14. now that ive looked into the gtx 555, seems it may have come out of my friends old X51 R1, which was an alienware prebuilt, so no nvidia badging / stickers or anything wouldve been on the GPU
  15. seems bang on, and yeah - its been moved probably 3-4 times, and not used in years.
