  1. @BiG StroOnZ @WildDagwood Hey both! I un-plugged all my cables and re-plugged them firmly, and so far so good. Thank you for for the help!
  2. @BiG StroOnZ I haven't, actually - I'll give that a go over the weekend. Didn't consider doing that. Worth me reseating the CPU, too?
  3. @BiG StroOnZMy CPU seems alright - I run it (and everything else) at stock and it seems to be boosting normally. GPU runs very hot, but looking online the temps seem in line for a 6900XT?
  4. Ah, sorry - I totally forgot to mention the cooler! I've got a Noctua NH-U12s. I did replace all the cables - I actually bought a set of CableMod replacement cables for the PSU. No daisy chains either, the 6900xt has two 8pins and a 6pin all individually run from the PSU.
  5. Hey all, I've been having a frustrating issue with my PC ever since I upgraded it a few weeks ago. Basically, when playing certain games, my PC will lose power (as if someone flicked the PSU switch at the back - but I'll touch on the PSU subject in just a second). Current specs are as follows: i7 13700k MSI Z790 Edge Wifi AMD Sapphire Radeon 6900xt SE Nitro+ 32GB Corsair Vengeance 5200MHz DDR5 Corsair RM1000x My system before the upgrade was as follows: Threadripper 1920X MSI X399 Gaming Pro Carbon AMD Sapphire Radeon 6900xt SE Nitro+ 32GB Corsair Vengance 3000MHz DDR4 Corsair AXi860 In the previous incarnation, my PC was rock solid - no crashes or power loss in any of the games I play (Notably Red Dead Online, Anno 1800, F1 22, lately Company of Heroes 3). When I upgraded, I originally kept my AXi860 - however the PC was frequently powering off when under load. So, I bought the Corsair RM1000x and swapped it out. That solved the power loss issues in Anno 1800, Red Dead Online and F1 22. However, I've just started playing Company of Heroes 3 and the issue's started happening again. I'm genuinely out of ideas as to what could be happening - could someone help point me in the right direction, please?
  6. Honestly, after being mostly an iOS user for most of my Smartphone life (Barring a short stint with HTC and Windows Phone 6, yikes...), I finally switched to a Google Pixel 3 and I couldn't be happier, for one single reason: I don't need to compromise with it. I'm a Windows 10 user, and it's integration with iOS is.... Pretty weak. I wanted to use Firefox on my iPhone as I used it on Windows, and wanted to be able to easily pick up where I left off. iOS made that bloody difficult for me, always insisting I just use Safari. Nor could I easily reply to messages or quickly pull photos off my phone from my PC. I was spending hundreds on this expensive phone that I just couldn't use how I wanted to. WIth the Pixel, that's a thing of the past. I get near Mac to iOS level integration between Windows and Android, I can super easily continue my web browsing, or document editing, or general conversations between my two devices, and I just don't feel like I need to fight my device any more.
  7. Hi all, Pretty much what the title says. It seems to idle at around 56 degrees celsius and I'm stumpted as to why. My hardware is the following, with everything minus the RAM running at stock: - Threadripper 1920x cooled with an Enermax LiqTech TR 360 AIO - MSI Gaming Pro Carbon X399 running the latest BIOS as of writing - 4 8GB sticks of RAM running at 3000Mhz - MSI Nvidia GTX1080 Gaming X I've tried reseating the CPU and the cooler, originally using Arctic MX-4 the first time and then Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut the second time but the improvement was minimal. I can't imagine airflow is an issue as the radiator is front mounted in the Corsair Cristal 460X. I've attached screengrabs of HWiNFO of the processor running at idle, and then running Cinebench. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  8. I had this exact motherboard but used an i7 6700k, and had the exact same problem. What happened for me was that the Slow Switch was on for some reason. Flick that off, undo whatever overclock settings you applied, and you should be good to go! I can't remember where the Slow Switch is as I don't have the motherboard anymore, but it says in the manual.
