  1. Yeah. I wanna use it to power 3 1070 for mining. Really hope that it will suffice.
  2. Hi, i'm now using super flower leadex 2 650W gold psu. Will this psu be enough to power 3 gtx 1070? My setup is: Core i5 7500 Asus b250f strix mobo 16gb ddr4 1sata m.2 ssd 1 7.2k rpm sata hdd
  3. combo 2 is nice if u are willing to top up your budget and get a decent GPU. dont buy the 1030. for longevity i do agree that am4 platform is still new and may lead to future support for newer processors. as for intel 8th gen will need a new mobo. if u buy the pentium now, u can just upgrade to 7th gen core processors only. 200 chipsets are not supported for coffee lake. just my opinion. at last, its up to you buddy. jadilah pembeli yang bijak.
  4. hi, i'm currently using 4GBx2 2400MHz kit with this chipset with a kaby lake processor. i'm going to upgrade to 8GBx2 kit. if i buy ram faster than 2400 (XMP ram) will it run on the advertised speed or will it downclock to 2400 because of chipset limitations. just wondering will b250 run the ram on 2666/2800/3000/3200 (XMP enabled)? i dont want to waste money to buy faster ram if the chipset did not support. btw my mobo do support XMP. any help is totally appreciated.
  5. Thanks mate. Really appreciate your help.
  6. sorry i mean side panel off with A/C off. i get the same temp with side panel on with A/C on.
  7. Around 27-28C during daytime. If i turn the A/C and set it to 24C then my gpu temp hovers around 62-65C, same without the side panel and A/C on. Any suggestions to improve airflow?
  8. its already on max speed. should i upgrade case fan with high rpm fans?
  9. sorry for a noob question. i own a asus gtx 1070 strix oc and im getting 70C on my gpu temp under full load on ambient temp without A/C. i have 5 case fans installed. 2 120mm silverstone fans as intakes running at 1300+ RPM. and 3 exhaust fans. 1 120mm CM sickleflow x at 2000RPM at the back of the case and 2 stock 120mm case fan on the top (dunno the speed). whenever i open my side panel (gpu on load) the temp would go down around 5C immediately. is hot air trapped inside the case causing the ambient temp inside the case hot? how can i improve my airflow? cable management has been done neatly btw.
  10. thanks for all the replies. appreciate it. so, it is okay to keep using the vs650 for the time being? maybe it will be around a year before i make any upgrades. will it hold?
  11. hi all LTT members. i have a question regarding my psu which is a corsair vs650. i bought it bcos i think that it qould be decent as the brand was corsair and i had very litle knowledge about psu at that time. after doing a lot of research regarding psu in past few days and fully understand about a good psu characteristics, i realized that the vs650 is a potato psu. i regret that i did not study enough about psu before buying. ive built my pc on 1st of august and bought this psu in hope that it is reliable enough to power my pc: cpu: intel i5-7500 gpu: asus 1070 strix oc edition mb: asrock b250m-hdv lets say that max power consumption for the whole system is around 350-400W, it doesn't even reach 75% usage of the psu itself. therefore, would it be ok to run my pc using this psu until i had enough money to upgrade to a high quality full modular one? sorry for the stupid question, i'm just an ordinary man who makes mistakes.
  12. cooler master mastergel maker nano seems to work really fine for me. and not to forget, the price was also reasonable. was using it for my current pc and laptop. satisfied so far.
  13. Thanks for the reply mate. The same monitor. But from the monitor i can choose the source of video whether from dvi or vga. If vga from the intel igpu. Dvi from the strix. Not at the same time. But either one at one time. Sorry if it sounds stupid. Just asking around for opinion. I just want to know whether its possible or not.
  14. I have an aoc ips 1080p 60hz monitor with vga and dvi connection. Currently, i connected my 1070 strix using dvi to the monitor. However, can i connect the intel gpu on my i5 7500 to the same monitor using vga. Can i duplicate the display? If i were to mine on the 1070 when not gaming, the youtube would be stuttering sometimes bcoz of the heavy load on gpu. So, to avoid that, can i duplicate my display just by using the same monitor by switching the source of display from dvi to vga and use the igpu instead for smoother results? As u all know, kaby lake igpu has integrated support for 4k decoding. Such a waste if i did not use it. Btw, i'm currently using asrock b250m-hdv motherboard. Can my idea be realized? Can both of the gpus be used on the same monitor at the same time?
