  1. So you think IPS is the best bet
  2. Hey guys, I've been looking at numerous monitors to get for my gaming rig: Asus PG278QR - 27 1440p 165hz TN 1ms Asus PG279Q - 27 1440p 165hz IPS 4ms Asus PG27VQ - 27 1440p 165hz TN Curved 1ms Any other 27+ 1440p 144hz monitor Can you please suggest the best option for me I got a 1080 TI and 7700k
  3. In all honesty it seems to be going that way like think about it it used to be 12:9 (4:3) now it is 16:9 so it could become 21:9 in the future considering how most movies are made in that aspect ration will it go above 21:9 I doubt it as it is already a very wide ratio. In my opinion it will be a very long time before the transfer to 21:9 if it is going to happen
  4. I had an LG - 27MP37HQ-B 27.0" 1920x1080 and found it really hard on my eyes. Got a BenQ - GW2765HT 27.0" 2560x1440 and it's been great. Thanks, but im looking for high refresh rate and 1440p as I had an Asus PG27AQ and I was not happy with only get 60hz plus really low fps because of 4k
  5. wouldn't even call it a downgrade lol
  6. Yeah I had an IPS and then downgraded to a TN and legit saw no diffirence
  7. Yeah, I was looking at those 3 but its a hard choice as IPS is not necessary as I do not do any colour important work but from what I heard the colours you get in games are still so worth it, but then if its not IPS I am finding it hard to justify weather the curve on the PG27VQ is necessary

  10. I've recently reset my pc's bios so it start up with F2 or Del to go to bios but then if you wait or pres F2 it will go onto another screen basicly saying press F1 to run bios setup but as soon as I press F1 my screen goes black and stays like it. My Specs: I7 7700k Maximus 9 Formula 32 gb RAM GTX 1080 TI HX1000I
  11. Yeah man that did it. I had to reset bios and unplug and plug everything back in the only downside is its now on A0 as I have to restore my bios and that takes forever
  12. Can some one help me. I had to disassemble my PC to move house now I have resembled it out side the case and I am stuck on the A6 error code. I had no problem such as this in the past so I'm wondering where it came from my specs are: I7 7700k Maximus 9 Formula Corsair vengeance RGB 4x8 GTX 1080 TI Samsung 960 Evo m.2 1TB HX 1000i Win 10 64bit already installed
  13. LMAO, This is so true the power adaptor is prob broken as I have just checked by swapping to a independent socket from an extension cord I get 1.28Ghz so it must be the power adapter
  14. System: Dell Alienware 17x R4 -i7-3610QM (2.3Ghz base, 3.3Ghz turbo) -16GB DDR3-1600 -Nvidia 660M -Win 10 Pro 64bit Problem: My CPU clock refuses to go above 1.19Ghz(when speed step is on) and 1.20Ghz (when speed step is off) (confirmed by task manager, HWinfo and AIDA64). When running Aida 64 Stress test the system is clearly throttled as the CPU usage never goes above 50%. What I have tried without success: -Flash BIOS to latest version. -Install IME and chipset driver. -Switched power settings to "high performance". And edited the settings which temporarily made it go to turbo speed but when it went down it never went back up again -Made sure power supply is adequate (confirmed at 240W as required). -Checked BIOS for any settings that may be the issues. -Replaced thermal paste on CPU, GPU.Checked fan function and monitored temps (never went above 50-60C while running Aida 64 ). It's not a thermal issue. -Tried it both on wall power and battery power. -Tried Throttle Stop but that had no effect
  15. OMFG Thank you so much. My laptop has been thinking I was constantly on battery power and the power management setting was only full speed at 100% battery
  16. I kinda forgot cus its been like this for a long time all of a sudden it just got 1.2ghz and stayed at it
  17. I also use HWINFO and that states the same 1.2 GHZ
  18. max is 100% on battery and when plugged in and Min is on 5% battery
