  1. Status Report: unplugging and then starting the game yielded identical results to plugged in.... maybe some bug in windows (yay Win10)
  2. Im going to try something... im going to start my game (Battlefield 4) while unplugged. i have a feeling it may need to start unplugged
  3. I can only have the 1070 active. I can't actually enable the iGPU
  4. I just recently bought an EVGA SC17 1070 w/ G-Sync. This laptop is great when plugged in, but as soon as I unplug it my performance drops by 80% in-game. Heres what I've tried (to no avail): 1. Selected High-Performance Power Plan (Made sure CPU max state on battery was 100%) 2. Selected "Prefer Max Performance" global setting in GeForce control panel 3. Turned off WhisperMode even though it should have no effect on an unplugged system 4. Turned off battery boost in Geforce Experience Full System Specs for Reference: Model: EVGA SC17 1070 4K G-Sync CPU: i7-6820HK @ 3.80GHz 1.259V GPU: GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 @ 1531MHz RAM: 32GB DDR4 G.Skill @ 2667MHz Storage: Samsung 960 Pro M.2 NVMe SSD 256GB & Generic 1TB 7200RPM HDD I did some digging and found many laptops (even gaming laptops ) throttle down performance on battery power. I was wondering if the CPU's C states could be getting in the way, but it shouldn't affect the GPU by 80%, should it? Is there any way to get around this bottleneck? The Laptop has a pretty extensive BIOS (for a laptop), so maybe I can get something to work. A pic of the advanced section of the CPU config tab is attached. Thanks in advance!
