First I have an Asus Z170-E, Im running 2 drives currently a SSD and HDD on SATA, ive switched SATA ports to make sure the issue wasn't with SATA express and m.2 overlap.
I just updated my Bios, and tried MULTIPLE times to switch from SATA express to M.2. Am I missing something? Can I not run an m.2 with this motherboard if I have 2 drives already? Is my M.2 DOA?

Update:
Ive tired to reseat the M.2. Additionally, I can get the update the settings and boot when I am in M.2 and not SATA Express, but only when the M.2 device is not installed. So I switched to M.2 installed the device, and the computer will only boot to SATA Express. I cannot get the BIOS setting to stay on M.2 with the M.2 installed. I believe this means, the M.2 device is incomparable, which I checked, or its DOA.
