  1. we have a 12 year old cat, though he looks and acts like he is 6yrs old, and I don't know what we would do if he died.
  2. lol, read that as "my friend smashed it" first time had to do a double take
  3. newegg.com, time and time again, they have had delivered things faster than advertised with almost no issues, and on the very rare occasion that something is wrong they have THE BEST customer service I have ever dealt with, and even if I can find a PC part slightly cheaper somewhere else I will most likely still order it from newegg
  4. I wouldn't worry about them forcing something into Linus's mouth *immature giggling* and more worried about what would happen if Linus said something they do not like, because we all know how quickly companies like AT&T are to true to sue or blackmail people.
  5. so I'm trying to get hangouts dialer to work, but I need to update hangouts to 2.3, but after I install the update it refuses to stick and goes back to 2.1
  6. I have recorded the noise, but what is the best way the upload the file to this thread?
  7. I would, but my pc is quiet right now, it is a continuous upper-mid pitch to it
  8. thanks, but mine sounds considerably different
  9. so I have been getting this buzzing recently, and have been unable to pin point it, and was wondering if any of you have a idea what is causing this noise a quick over view of my PCs past issues -if it got cold (as in below 50) the top fan would make a low toned grinding noise do to a bad bearing (still need to get around to oiling it) -would crash while watching YouTube videos (solved had to turn off hardware accelerations, because flash sucks) I have done some research, and people keep saying it is bad caps, but I personally don't think that is it, because as said before it has a mechanical sound to it not the sound that dying caps make (I have experience with that noise, lost 3 dish receivers to that). one more not it mostly occur late at night, and early in the morning, have yet to have it occur during any other time of the day.
  10. oh, I assumed that you were in the US, but I suppose you could look it up for your area
  11. *sigh* So today I was in my engineering class cutting reinforcement for a job we where doing, and even though the obnoxious squeals of grinders is such a soothing sound I decided that it would would be best if I use my IEMs, CX-300-IIs in fact, and I was there working merrily listening to "Awesome Mix no. 1"... that is when it happened... as I finished sawing through the tubing, it gave way causing the saw to slam down a little bit, normally not a issue, but today... today was different. The impact caused one of the freshly cut tubes that I had yet to de-gnarl to roll off the table, and before I could do anything it began to tumble down to Earth, and that is when the razer sharp gnarling caught my IEM's cables slicing through them... and then silence, there was no more tunes, no, there was just the sound of the chop saw revving down, and the tinging of metal on the concrete floor. I loved those IEMs, they were the first ones that I truly loved the sound signature, and that I found actually comfortable. So what was some of the old tech that you had that you makes you wish you could turn back time, and keep from perishing on you?
  12. you can pick up a dell S2340M 23" IPS monitor for $160, it is my driver, and besides the lack of port variety (DVI, and VGA) I love it
  13. congratulations, you can go ahead and download the trophy, it is just 20gb!
  14. and damn you're quick, like the moment I posted
  15. I noticed that as soon as I posted
  16. so I was bored and was talking to my buddy (who has more money than me that bastard) and he is planning on picking up the 518, and he was going on how he is going to be broke after getting this and the 3 other things that where on MY WISHLIST... asshole... but either way I was telling him if he really wanted to complain he could have bought the HD 800, and as I was sending the link to him I couldn't help, but notice the 1 star review, well I read it, and laughed for about 10 mins straight. http://www.amazon.com/review/R2JPRE1YQP4RUC/ref=cm_cd_pg_next?ie=UTF8&asin=B001OTZ8DA&cdForum=Fx3RG2NZTFOFTG7&cdPage=3&cdThread=Tx1CXHPEJFFJ2FI&store=electronics#wasThisHelpful P.S I highly suggest reading in your best snobbish voice possible.

  19. my temps are fine, and besides if I didn't already check that why would it do it while watching videos, but not while playing games
  20. First off sorry if this is in the wrong section, couldn't find one that would seem to fit. every now and again my PC will blue screen without warning, and after a hard restart will act as if nothing happened, and go on for weeks, or months at a time without doing it again. I have noticed a pattern with it though, that is it only seems to occur if I'm watching a YouTube videos for a long period of time, and is perfectly fine while surfing the web, playing video games, etc. This isn't super urgent, and so far has done no real harm (besides clearing out my SSD cache every time I hard restart!)

    London UK, or London Canada?
  22. so I FINALLY got around to watching the new WAN show, and at the end they were talking about some SMS ear buds that can pickup bio-metrics leading Linus to go into a little rant about how useless it was to have this tech in ear buds, because you only wear them for about an hour a day so you can't get any useful health info off of them. Well this got me thinking bio-metrics could have a much broader use instead of being forever stuck in "for people working out and stuff" department, and instead (staying with sound equipment) watch your heart rate and line up the next song accordingly based off temp, or a manually setup playlist. For example lets say you are like me and play games with your own music playing and HATE alt+tabing every time a song that doesn't fit the moment comes one (especially in online games). You would just have this watching your heartbeat, so every time you are in a intense fight lets say a band like Sabaton comes on, but every time you are just traveling, and in a relaxed state a song like Green Fields of France gets queued. P.S sorry for what I imagine is some of the worst grammar you have ever seen it is pretty late
