  1. hello, My current monitor has AMD free-sync and i'm not going to buy a new one. I am planning on buying a GTX 1660, is it worth buying an AMD card to take advantage of the free-sync or sticking with the Nvidia card? (My PC currently has an AMD Ryzen 3 processor) many thanks.
  2. Hello, I am looking for a cheap 1080p at least 60fps monitor with decent enough in built speakers for under £200. It will be used as a general monitor however I will be gaming on it using my PC. I am currently deciding between these two. however it is hard to tell between them without seeing them in person, I was wondering if anyone could help with my decision or give me any recommendations. many thanks. https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Philips-273V7QJAB-27-Inch-Monitor-Speakers/dp/B0747VJSL6/ref=pd_sbs_147_1/257-3694305-2616624?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0747VJSL6&pd_rd_r=c9ac3a03-d077-43fc-9d9b-84a65cfd4c98&pd_rd_w=jKgiZ&pd_rd_wg=2I2T2&pf_rd_p=f4a31d1d-8f61-48f5-b6f4-a22ba06df575&pf_rd_r=E98C0VNSQ1BB69STTN3M&psc=1&refRID=E98C0VNSQ1BB69STTN3M https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/pc-monitors/pc-monitors/hp-27fw-with-audio-full-hd-27-ips-lcd-monitor-white-10189222-pdt.html
  3. I am trying to use a usb 3 device on my laptop however my laptop only has 4 USB 3 ports and no USB 2, so I can only use the device as if it was a storage device, is there any way to get rid of this problem?
  4. thanks but i'd rather have a full sized or maybe only missing the number pad
  5. I am looking for a cheap (under £40) mechanical keyboard, I need one with a u.k. layout but I could replace the keys, would be appreciated if you could give me some ideas.
  6. I have an old windows 7 computer which is very slow and I was thinking of dual booting Ubuntu Linux on it so that I can run that instead so it is faster but I can also switch over to windows if I want to mainly as a project but also so that I can still use it and don't have to do anything to it. but first I have some questions: is this a good idea? there are two disk drives on the computer and one has not been used at all and is 120GB big can I just download it onto that disk without having to make a backup or wipe the computer? is this just a complete waste of time?
  7. thanks you have all been massive helps I never new how amazing this website was.
  8. I am creating a £500 PC build it is not specifically for gaming but it can game at just above console performance, it has 8gb of RAM, a gtx 1050 2GB version, a samsung 500GB SSD, a 430W power supply and it is a micro ATX build. I probably will not upgrade it so upgrade ability is only a small consideration. but I am which cpu to get i could get... a fx 8350 with 4.0 - 4.2 GHz and 8 cores a ryzen 3 with 3.1 - 3.4GHz and 4 cores a ryzen 3 with 3.5 - 3.7GHz and 4 cores
