    Activation

I recently built myself a semi-decent computer, ive been using it for a while now too. Ive been wanting to activate windows to get all the features but im not to sure about something. Ive been using my computer for a few months now, its accumulated the usual things like games and other media and is in full use with no issues to report. When i finally come around to activating windows, will i have to do a clean install for the activation to work or can i just activate it from within the settings. I was told by a good friend of mine who works with computers that i may have to "start again" as he put it and reinstall windows for everything to go well. I will also be getting my activation key off of kinguin, is there anyone who has had issues with keys off of kinguin, short or long term. If anyone has a better site to get keys from let me know (UK by the way). I understand that i dont HAVE to activate windows and i have been using it without activating for a while, i just want to rid my desktop of the watermark and unlock all of the features and settings.
  3. ok ive given that program a go, its reported that the disk is healthy and that theres nothing to worry about. Despite the good report from the program, when i powered on the system to check the forums, the same issue occurred where the disk usage spiked and was held at 100%. It did thankfully go down after about 10 minutes but who knows how long that will actually last. Thanks for letting me know of that program it seems pretty decent.
  4. ill give that a go.. ill report back with the results
  5. Since i received my first laptop in 2014, it has been plagued with hard-disc over-utilization. I now own a new(old) laptop that belonged to my mother, which is a Sony Vaio, it too has been plagued with the same issue only much worse. From the moment i turn it on to the second it powers down. It does sometimes however settle down after a while but once it does go down it seems to go into a exteremely unstable state where the utilization does not remain c I need help in resolving this issue as im at the point where ive done everything apart from deleting system32 . All Jokes aside, id love to receive some advice on ways to remedy this issue and hopefully be able to use my computer properly again.
