  1. I've seen it advertised that the pro 4 could run two but no mention of 3. I wasn't sure if this was due to the dock having only 2 ports or if it just didn't have enough grunt to do it. I suspect the Surface Book will do it no problems but I was hoping I wouldn't need to go for something with the GPU as the costs obviously start to shoot up. I'm now used to having my 3 displays for productivity purposes and reluctant to go down to two.
  2. Just looking for some feedback on whether this will be possible. I currently have a Gaming PC and very rarely use it to game these days. I primarily use it for work related tasks and have decided I'd be better served with a Surface pro 3 or 4. I also currently have 3 x 1440p displays that are capable of daisy chaining and I would like to know if I picked up a Surface pro with a docking station would this be able to run my 3 1440p external displays? Thanks in advance.
  3. Yup that's exactly what i see when I look at it. It's better than before I agree but still not good enough for the money. I'm not taking another gamble with this model.
  4. So just received the replacement today and low and behold it's just as bad as the first. I'm really not willing to put up with this for a £800 monitor so i guess I'm going to get a refund. Not happy : (
  5. It looks more like the first picture to my eye's. £800 is a lot of money to have to put up with a not perfect display. If I'd have paid £200 for one I might have let it slide but...I dunnu It's just bugging me.
  6. Yeah it's the 34um95-p...Not sure what the "p" is for? I suspected it was just a slightly different model number here in the UK. It really is a great screen though (backlight bleed aside) for the last 3 years I've used dual 27" displays for my work and this just feels better. I didn't think it would but not having the bezels is awesome. I'm going to give the guys at overclockers UK a ring tomorrow and see what they can do for me. I've read somewhere that one guy had to have his sent back to Germany for repair and then when he received it back it was worse. Eventually he got a good one but this was 3 months down the line. I don't want to be messing about like that.
  7. It came out the factory at default 70 brightness and to be honest changing it up or down doesn't seem to make a difference. The thing is for 95-98% of the time it isn't going to bother me but knowing it's there and having paid so much it kind of bugs me. I've read else where on the net that people are having problems with these and some even got a worse case of bleed in the replacement. If I did watch a movie at full resolution then I'm sure I'd notice it more. I just wasn't sure how lucky you have to be to get an IPS display with no bleed at all.
  8. Hi Guys Just looking for your opinions as to whether this is a bad instance of backlight bleed? I've always had TN gaming panels but wanted to get a decent IPS to go with my gaming monitor. I've just got this LG 3440 x 1440 today and I'm debating on sending it back because of this. At £800/$1200 I expected it to be perfect. The camera seems to have made the 2nd picture look worse than it is to my eyes but the first is what I see looking at it. Would you send it back?
  9. And I think the 2nd wave of Maxwell's won't be around until the end of the year. Those will be the ones worth upgrading to.
  10. I don't think they do that here in the UK, I'll have to double check. And also isn't that only for 90 days?
  11. I went with the mobo because of the supreme fx audio which saved me getting a sound card. I could have done though as you say. The psu was really just to cover my back in case I ever want to SLI. I did think about the 780 with the view to selling it on in a year from now for the new maxwell, but I thought I could even save a few more pounds than that by going for a 770. I guess whatever I get in the short term it isn't going to be worth water cooing. The outlay for a water block wouldn't be worth it.
  12. Hi, yes I have already got the above parts. Would you have done something different?
  13. Hi Chaps I've almost completed my gaming rig. I've been building it up over the last 4 months and have everything bar a GPU and the relevant cooling for both CPU/GPU. I'm wanting to do a full custom loop so my decision on the cooling has been put off until I can decide on a GPU. Rig so far: Corsair 750D I5 4670K Maximus Hero v1 Gskill Ripjaws (2x4gb) Corsair AX860i Corsair AF140 x 3 case fans Ducky Shine 3 Roccatt Kone pure Benq XL2720T Asus PB278Q I've got enough for a GTX780ti with a water block but I'm really not sure if I should get something like a GTX770 to put me on until the back end of the year when the better Maxwell cards should be available. I'm wanting to play some games on the Benq 120hz but other at 1440p on the Asus. Would a 770 tie me over for 12 months at 1440p? What do you guys think I should do? Thanks in advance.
