MidnightToTwelve's Achievements

  1. I unfortunately couldn't find any topics on this with the searching I did. Maybe I put the wrong keywords in if it has.
  2. I'm not sure where to put this exactly. But this is the All Controller. It's being touted as "the controller that connects to everything" and it's been a project of over 2 years now. The way I learned about this is through a YouTube user by the name of ReRez. He's a gaming youtuber who does reviews on primarily older consoles, games, and controllers. And through YouTube, he was able to get in touch with a group trying to build a custom controller that works with everything. The team brought him on and made revisions to the controller to make it a truly impressive thing. Pretty much the only reason why I'm making this topic is because I did a quick search here and no one has talked about this yet. That, and there are working models of this controller, just to show that it really exists. Now, the rest of this should be taken cautiously. It's now been taken to Kickstarter. Here is the link to the campaign. Here's the thing though, they have made sure to put in the capitol, time and effort to make sure this can be realistically done. There are at least half dozen working models that they have sent to other youtubers to review/give a first look at. I even just watched a livestream from ReRez, showing off how the controller works to set up profiles, to change the drivers to the system/mobile OS/Desktop OS that you're playing on, and even how it works on the Nintendo Switch. With all the questions that I had based off those functions, I can confidentially form an opinion at least: I'm glad someone finally did this. The Kickstarter launched August 1st as an All or nothing campaign. So if it doesn't get funded, no one loses their money. but it got funded in two days. Its initial goal was CA$ 75,000, and it's currently sitting at CA$ 190k with 32 days left. Shane (ReRez) himself is answering most of the questions being asked on the Kickstarter. Now, I have to admit that I really don't have much experience with Kickstarter, aside from the time I backed Mighty Number 9 (we all know how that went). All I can say though, is that I will be backing this myself, and I just wanted to spread the word to see what other people were thinking about it as well. Hopefully it won't end on KickFarted lol.
