  1. Thanks for the confirmation. I am able to open my ports but I have to call them and ask them directly with my client number, which I can't do since I'm not the owner of the router. If I were to use a VPN supporting torrents would that open up my ports ?
  2. When I enter a NAT rule to open my ports they still show up as closed and don't show in the "redirection list" under UPnP
  3. I am able to enter my router's web interface. It's just that I'm told by my ISP that I have to have a public WAN IP and in order to do that I have to call them which I can't because it's not my property. Is there a way to open ports on a private WAN IP (CGN) ?
  4. I'm a member of several private trackers. I know opening ports doesn't make a big difference on popular torrents but I'm told by other users that opening my ports is a must for rare torrents which are not well seeded.
  5. I have been trying to open my ports for efficient torrent download/upload but on my ISP's forum it stated that I have to have a public IP WAN address in order to do that, which I don't have. In order to have a public IP WAN address I have to contact my ISP but I'm unable to do that since it's my landlord's router. If I were to use a VPN that supports torrenting, would I be able to properly forward my ports for torrenting ? Or is there another way ?
  6. Also, while having only the japanese keyboard installed a "ghost" french keyboard keeps installing. It can be used but can't be found in the language options which only shows the japanese keyboard being installed. I have to install the french keyboard and uninstall it for this "ghost" french keyboard to disappear.
  7. I have the japanese IME keyboard installed, the regular japanese keyboard when you install the japanese language in windows. The japanese keyboard is only offered in qwerty mode so I changed the registry entry for the japanese keyboard layout to the french keyboard layout (which I have). With the japanese IME keyboard you can have two input methods, the regular kana methods which types with japanese "letters" but you can switch to a latin alphabet using a shortcut. The little A next to the J icon indicates that the japanese keyboard is on "latin alphabet mode" Now the あ icon indicates that the japanese keyboard is on "japanese alphabet mode" The weird thing is, when I use the japanese keyboard on a windows app or the windows quick search with the "latin alphabet mode" it uses the qwerty layout but when I use the "japanese alphabet mode" it uses the azerty layout. Outside of this it works perfectly, wherever I type it uses correctly the azerty layout for both modes. It seems like this problem only occurs for recent windows 10 functionality. In the control panel, file explorer,... it works correctly but not in the new windows settings or quick search. Thanks a lot
