  1. What could I do with a 600 dollar build? From what I'm understanding from other sources, 600 dollars can get you a pretty great computer
  2. However I can achieve this for the lowest dollar would be fantastic. I have a few things from my current build that I can transfer over and others I can sell. Things I can transfer: EVGA 500W psu 1TB secondary hard drive Windows 10 license. Peripherals (monitor, speakers, mouse, keyboard) Things I can sell: PNY GTX 460 1GB AMD Phenom IIx4 965 @ 3.4 ghz Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS Case Another older motherboard So, with this in mind, how much money would it take to get me a good build for my needs? Not every AAA game has to have Ultra graphics, but they do need to have consistent framerates. That's really important for me.
  3. Do I need to buy Windows again? Can’t I just use my Windows 7 product key? I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 back when it was free.
  4. Wow, that is impressive. I was either going to go with older Intel or ryzen. I should have said around 300, ten dollars more is negligible. So, the 460 is ok? I don’t need to immediately get a new guy as well?
  5. I’m actually shocked at that price. I’ve seen Intel chips by themselves cost over 200
  6. Would it make more sense to gut the optiplex and put it in my current tower, or move parts to the optiplex?
  7. My PSU is actually new. My old one burned up. It’s a 500w EVGA
  8. I’ve got the cash to spend to upgrade my PC. I think I could do good for $300 or less. This is my current setup. PNY Nvidia GTX 460 1 GB AMD Phenom II x4 965 @ 3.4ghz 8 GB DDR3 Corsair RAM (2 x 4gb) 100 GB & 1TB HDDS Windows 10 Home How can I upgrade this to play a wide range of titles at at least medium graphics (save for games like BF1)? I’d also like to emulate at least 6th gen consoles (PS2, GameCube). Ive heard that buying a used Dell Optiplex is good for getting an Intel chip and mobo on the cheap. What should I be lookin*g out for?
  9. Those are some good choices, but I am still not sure what's best for me. I consider my PC to be a low-mid range gaming PC. The most intense games I've played are FSX and Planetside 2. If I chose to upgrade later on, I'd hopefully be able to play Battlefield One and Overwatch.
  10. Looking for a good 500w PSU for $50 or less. My specs are currently: AMD Phenom II x4 965, NVIDIA GTX 460 1GB, 8gb ddr3 Corsair ram, 2 hdds, optical drive, and different USB peripherals. I may want to upgrade my computer some day, so I want a little headroom so I don't have to buy another PSU. Thanks!
