  1. Hi there. I'm not sure if this is allowed here, or even if I'm in the right part of the forum, but I thought I would ask anyway and if this gets deleted, so be it. I'm looking to install XBMCbuntu or something of a similar sort onto my Sony Blu-ray player, model number BDP-S480. Tried scouring the internet, either I'm not searching for the right thing, or the information is buried under all of the documentation from Sony. The reason I'm looking into this is due to the fact that the current OS on the player is laggy as hell, and doesn't natively support .MKV files directly from a usd drive, and has many other problems with other file types. Thanks in advance for any help.
  2. iz3d seems to have been discontinued. And looking at TriDef's page, I'm starting to get the idea that 3D isn't as widely used as I thought it was. Mainly due to the fact that everything looks so un-professional. Also, after doing some floating around in TriDefs pages, it seems like Sony isn't supported at all.
  3. @Missxu, it seems the page where I get the HD3D drivers from is actually down. Can't seem to find a way to get to the download. Also, it seems that HD3D will limit my fps to 24 through 1080p, and 60 for 720p. While I, myself, can not distinguish the difference between 35-60FPS changes, I can certainly tell when something is less than that. This is where I am trying to go: http://www.amd.com/us/products/technologies/amd-hd3d/Pages/hd3d.aspx Another thing, my TV is not with me at the moment, and I have no way of getting it for at least another 2 weeks. Will installing the drivers for HD3D even work without my TV connected, and if so, will they affect my performance?
  4. @TheMissxu: Quick question about the HD3D stuff, after I install the drivers, will I get just a simple option to tunr the 3D on/off? I was simply wanting to try it out. Also, about the 7950 not being able to handle it, I could probably have guessed that was going to happen. It hasn't really been the beast I was hoping it would, but with the OC it has made many games run over 60FPS. @Tea1337: My card has 3GB, so it's all good. Also, how do you mean it "doesn't work with 3D"? Do you mean the developers never added the option? That would be understandable.
  5. Hi there. This is my first post, so if this is in the wrong place, I'm sorry. Specs: MB - Asus Z87-C CPU - Intel i5 4670k @ 3.4GHz RAM - 16gb DDR3 GPU - AMD Radeon HD 7950, OC to 1020MHz I'm trying to play Skyrim in 3D through HDMI to my Sony Bravia 3D TV. I have a fair bit of experience with 3D, as I have had my TV for over a year now. I have used my laptop to play 3D movies throught it, using the TVs built-in SBS conversion. The main problem I am experiencing is that I can't find any way to just "turn on" 3D in Skyrim as I have done for many games I have played through my Xbox. While looking for information on Google, I have found that nVidia seems to excel in the area of 3D games, and that if I want 3D on my AMD card, I'll need 3rd party software. Unfortunately, information on which piece of software is best for this is very scarce, so I'm coming to you for help. Summary: I want to play Skyrim on my PC at 1080p in 3D, through my AMD card. I have everything I need, I just need to find a way to "turn on the 3D". Thanks in advance for the help.
