  1. So, the Error remains. I watched a Lecture Video over Windows-Media-Player and it just froze at some point. I made a video, drive link below: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PV07uknfkOSd3iqHcnp39hTgC6LurRUI/view?usp=sharing When I restarted the PC, it ran a Windows update. Last things that were recorded by the Event Manager prior to shutdown was 1.5 hours before the crash and was a timezone check and some issues with updating the timezone: The time provider 'VMICTimeProvider' has indicated that the current hardware and operating environment is not supported and has stopped. This behavior is expected for VMICTimeProvider on non-HyperV-guest environments. This may be the expected behavior for the current provider in the current operating environment as well. The time provider NtpClient is currently receiving valid time data from time.windows.com,0x9 (ntp.m|0x9|0.0.0.0:123->40.119.148.38:123). The time service is now synchronizing the system time with the time source time.windows.com,0x9 (ntp.m|0x9|0.0.0.0:123->40.119.148.38:123) with reference id 647264040. Current local stratum number is 4. The time zone information was refreshed with exit reason 0. Current time zone bias is -60. The system time has changed to ‎2022‎-‎02‎-‎11T11:18:10.403476000Z from ‎2022‎-‎02‎-‎11T11:18:10.402915700Z. Change Reason: An application or system component changed the time. Process: '\Device\HarddiskVolume4\Windows\System32\svchost.exe' (PID 9064). Followed by another: The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54} and APPID {15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402} to the user VENGANCE2\Daniel SID (S-1-5-21-879034262-1230094719-1635081139-1001) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool. That was the last log before I forced the shutdown 1.5 hours later.
  2. Ok I checked back, I did have the error multiple times in a single day, every roughly 3-5 days. Since the BIOS update on the 20th of January, my logs did not have any further WHEA PCIE errors. so I haven't had it pop up in the last 20 days. For safety sake I did swap my GPU slot and I will try again with War Thunder in the coming days. Somehow that game makes the error somewhat reproducable on demand, but usually takes some hours. I got a Crucial 1TB M.2 as my Drive C with the OS on it. In addition I have 2x SanDisk (Ultra I think?) 1TB SSDs. I feel like it might be something windows or read write related... Because when this semi-crash thingy happens, I can still interact with windows. I can still CTRL-ALT-DEL, I can still close some of the software that is open, such as firefox (though it does not save the state it was in prior to closing and reverts to an earlier save), hell, my Discord will still recieve audio from the people in it. Just, when I talk, my audio is not sent and whenever I send a request, when I press on a button to do something, to shutdown windows, to open the task manager, it will look like I clicked the button, but the request remains unfullfilled. If I happen to have Task-Manager open and go to the Performance tab, all of the metrics are frozen in place, but all locked in at 100%. The way it looks and feels, just rubs me in a memory, drive, or windows hiccup kinda way. If I get the crash again, I will try to record a video. Also still getting frequent and bulky (as in 8 times in a row) spikes of this error mostly on startup and shutdown: The server {AB8902B4-09CA-4BB6-B78D-A8F59079A8D5} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout. As well as the application specific and machine default permission errors.
  3. Hio, I don't have any Risers. I do believe I have another PCIe Slot for my Graphics card. Not sure if it fits, with the PSU, but I can try it. Then jus let it run and see if the error remains and if the crashes continue?
  4. Hio Hivemind, Sadly the problem still exist. Just had me crashing while playing WarThunder. Funny thing is everytime, I can still hear the people on my Discord, but they can't hear me. on Top of that, the game is Frozen, but I can tab out. I can still click around Windows Start and even go CTRL ALT DEL and request the Taskmanager, but no matter what I press, nothing happens. I can also now confirm, that Windows Event Viewer registers the Crash roughly 10 Minutes before it happens, as the boot message stating that "The previous system shutdown at 21:26:34 on ‎09/‎02/‎2022 was unexpected." is actually late by 8-10ish Minutes. Furthermore there are no Logs in the System Section of the Event-Manager for the last 30ish minutes before the crash; is that normal that there are 30 Minutes without any Event? While randomly Scouring the Event Manager I also found this log in Applications: SCEP Certificate enrollment initialization for WORKGROUP\VENGANCE2$ via https://AMD-KeyId-578c545f796951421221a4a578acdb5f682f89c8.microsoftaik.azure.net/templates/Aik/scep failed: GetCACaps GetCACaps: Not Found {"Message":"The authority \"amd-keyid-578c545f796951421221a4a578acdb5f682f89c8.microsoftaik.azure.net\" does not exist."} HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found Date: Wed, 09 Feb 2022 20:37:36 GMT Content-Length: 121 Content-Type: application/json; charset=utf-8 X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff Strict-Transport-Security: max-age=31536000;includeSubDomains x-ms-request-id: 9423a7f0-1df2-4b4b-b4e5-2c94fae6869a Method: GET(500ms) Stage: GetCACaps Not found (404). 0x80190194 (-2145844844 HTTP_E_STATUS_NOT_FOUND) Furthermore, I found, under security, that my System32/services.exe does a Log-On under the Security tab of the Event Manager, roughly every 40 Seconds; is that also normal behaviour? An account was successfully logged on. 5. Hi Hivemind, so just as a quick Update, I had the PC glitch once shortly after startup, other than that, it seems to be ok for now. Got an Exam I need to write online end of the month so here's hoping it stays fixed. If not I will pick up here again. Thanks for all the Infos and have a lovely day/night/cosmic cycle - Daniel
  6. Hi Guys, Gals and Anything in between, Thanks for the quick replies. I don't have any bluetooth devices or periphery, but thank you for the tip. I Updated the BIOS. All other things have been on Auto. I'll let you know if the issue remains present.
  7. Hio Hivemind, I've got a problem for a while, ever since I upgraded my PC and sadly it has gotten worse without a distinct reason or origin. The problem occurs at random, more frequently when the system is under load (most frequently when playing warthunder, less frequent with other games), but sometimes just when idle or while having firefox open. During those times one or more softwares on screen seize up or loose part of their function. A few examples: When firefox is open and playing a video, audio will continue running, but the video will be really choppy, to just completly stuck. If Discord is active during this time, I will still recieve audio from my pals, but they will not be able to hear me. If Steam is open, the window will look like an unloaded steam window (the dark grey backgorund) without anything in it and the entire UI is unresponsive. When I check task manager, I can still open it, but it does not recive any performance metrics anymore (the metrics don't move), with the GPU "Video Decode" and "Copy" at 100% (haven't checked the other parameters during that time). When I try to open a new windows explorer window, or request a shutdown/restart, I can click the button and it responds correctly, but nothing happens. For the shutdown, it doesn't even close any of the open windows. I also checked the event view, but not only is no issue reported other than repeatet "The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID " and " A corrected hardware error has occurred. Component: PCI Express Legacy Endpoint Error Source: Advanced Error Reporting (PCI Express) Primary Bus:Device:Function: 0x9:0x0:0x0 Secondary Bus:Device:Function: 0x0:0x0:0x0 Primary Device Name:PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1401&SUBSYS_140110DE&REV_A1 Secondary Device Name:" but beyond that, the last 10ish minutes will have no log listed. After I forcibly restart the PC, all is running well again. I have wiped my PC and it didn't help. Things that I see as potential issues: I use a used Graphicscard that I got from a friend when he upgraded. It is a couple of years old. When I installed the PC, I needed to wipe it and repeat a few times, because it stopped booting after updating drivers using IOBit Driver Updater. Specifically when I updated the PCIE drivers, I would need to then wipe the entire Disk and start from scratch. I ended up ignoring those PCIE drivers, but installing all others. I am at my wits end and I thank anyone who can shed some light on this issue... My Specs are attached as a CPU-Z Output txt Thanks in advance for any suggestions and assistance! - Daniel VENGANCE2.txt
  8. Hio Hivemind! Thank you all for your tips and infos. I decided on the follow as my final choices. On top of that, I decided to get myself an anti-static mat for the build and a Dock for my old HDD so I can use them as backup drives. On top of that, I am contemplating adding some extra fans to the case (for the impending summer). Do you have any good low-budget/price-performance suggestions? if possible somewhat quiet ones as the rig is sitting on my table with the view pannel facing me. Gonna purchase tomorrow or so. Again, mayor thanks for all your help, stay healthy and Kind Regards, Daniel
  9. thx. any further suggestions in the 100-200€ Range that are good or better?
  10. Thanks to all the quick responses guys, gals, and anything in between. Prices for Mainboards and other stuff have been rising over the last 2-3 days across the... board... hue hue; presumable because of the god playing pandemic right now. the TUF x570-Plus is 210€ minimum right now. I heard a lot of people on the internet talk about the tomahawk and mortar as their go to... Still not sure if loudest fans or genuine magic formula. Aside from that, I took a look at a couple other boards myself. If possible I would like to keep it below 200€, I know, below 200€, X570 during corona, I am asking for the golden goose. What are your thoughts on these ones: MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge WIFI MSI X570-A PRO ASRock X570 PRO4 (The ATX brother of my earlier MATX choice, which is actually cheaper than the MATX) When I go down to B450 Boards, saying F-off to PCIE Gen 4, I was looking at: ASRock B450 Steel Legend GIGABYTE B450 AORUS ELITE ASUS ROG STRIX B450-E or F (though the F has a bit limited USB count...) MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX Thoughts? Comments? General point at something so I don't have to blame myself if it buggers up?
  11. Forgot to edit that part in the further up description. ATX is ok. I was to dumb to check the sizes and believed ATX was not only taller, but wider than Micro-ATX. So I am absolutely fine with ATX suggestions as well. Thanks for the advise, but since the edge between PCIE 3 and 4 is currently beginning to move, I also want to factor in at least some degree of futureproofing if possible. hence why I went for a Ryzen 7 3800x as well. I want to have this thing for a couple of years and potentially VR capable (once I change the GPU).
  12. Hi Hivemind, So, basically I have been scouring the internet for months. MONTHS! *thunder* and I am slowly turning insane because as usual every corner of the interwebs says something different (mostly talks smack). I have bought a Ryzen 7 3800x on Black Friday and I am building a system around it. Because of my case, it has to be Micro ATX it can be whatever (read below). I assebled a PCPartPicker list of the parts I was looking at. With the exception of the second motherboard (listed below). Graphicscard isn't my current priority, I just want a better system than the one I have right now. Also no Watercooling, as I am absolutely paranoid about them and can't afford replacement parts for the pc in the forseable future. Country: Germany Budget: listed below, but in general kind of 100-200 Euro per part. Please be advised, the actual cost in terms of the numbers is higher in euros, so a 170 quid piece on part picker is 200 Euro on the german market... yay paying premium for premium currency... and no, because of international shipping and tolls, ordering over the US would not give me any decent profit margin. What I want to do with it: A bit of everything. I draw, I 3D model, I watch videos. But all of those as a hobby. My main purpose will be gaming. 1080p most likely, purely cause I am using an old gel LCD IBM monitor and my priority is rather to have the rig done (including GPU) before I look for anything outside of it. Parts in Possession: Ryzen 7 3800x with Stock Cooler VIBOX Commando Case Red (And Glowing red all round) (Can fit ATX & has holes for it, but that would push the Mainboard pretty tight against the Diskdrive and Harddrive Cage) https://www.vibox.co.uk/element 1x Diskdrive (installed in the case, I use it at times, question is if I should remove it for more space/flexibility. would potentially allow for more front fans, but the case has a closed front anyway so...indifferent) Palit GTX 960 4GB JetStream (old card from a friend, before that I had my beautiful Zotac GTX 650Ti Boost fighting to play Monster Hunter World. this will stay in until I can afford a Zotac RTX 2060 Super AMP! or 2070 Super AMP!) SanDisk Ultra 1TB SSD (I want at least another TB and if possible a 500-1TB NVME PCIE 3 or 4 M.2 for my boot) The old PC will be scrapped/used for emergencies. Parts that I have been looking at: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9 GHz 8-Core Processor $338.99 @ Amazon Motherboard ASRock X570M Pro4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard $177.99 @ Amazon Memory G.Skill Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory $69.98 @ Amazon Memory Patriot Viper Steel 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory $84.99 @ Amazon Storage Sabrent Rocket 4.0 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $119.98 @ Amazon Storage SanDisk Ultra 3D 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive $119.99 @ Walmart Storage Crucial MX500 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive $114.99 @ Adorama Power Supply Corsair RMx 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $179.99 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $1206.90 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-04-15 12:35 EDT-0400 For the mainboard, my decision fell on either the ASROCK X570M Pro4 as listed above, or the ASROCK B450M Steel legend. The reason was, up until I saw a picture while litterally writing this, I thought ATX would also get wider than microATX, instead of only taller... I have spent months debating this flippin motherboard and I could cry now... Fudge me... anyway. In this case, while ATX would mean it sits a bit tight against my PSU, I don't mind suggestions toward ATX mainboards. However the current board inside is Micro-ATX Same for the RAM it is either 3000 or 3600, or whatever is cheapest and does the job to be honest, after so many tests claim that the RAM speed has barely any impact? on the 3rd Gen Ryzen processors. I would like the powersupply to be modular if possible, but if that luxury costs me 50+ quid extra, I would be wiling to side with a semi modular one. 650 W was listed as enough (with another 100 W margin) even with a future gaphicscard according to PartPicker. With regards to further cooling, I wanted to get some of these: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B06WD5ZVRG/ref=psdc_430200031_t1_B00VRKVGUA?th=1 They seem to be cheep, get the job done, and are 18-21Db. I need quiet fans as the pc is sitting on my table with the "look inside" panel, which has a fan (feels like output, not sure) is facing toward me. Which currently makes it slightly uncomfortable to play highend games when all the fans ramp up. Like "I need to speak louder so my folks can hear me in discord" to "I can't hear anything outside this room" kinda loud. 2 on the top of the case (output) and maybe one on the back as input. Reason being, as can be seen on VIBOX website, the front panel, while it can be folded open, is mostly solid. The only input is two small areas toward the bottom front. I have a phobia of watercoolers, as I don't think that damage is in the warranty for all of the other parts and depending on if I get back into a future Uni course or not, I will not be able to pay for replacements if the watercooling decides to duck me over. Anyway, That is all, for anyone that read this far down, thanks so much for any insight or advise, Take care and hope to hear from yous all soon, I'd like to get this done before the lockdown lifts, if possible. Kind Regards and stay healthy, Daniel
  13. KK. Thanks MrJarhead. Still doesn't solve the overarching problem though , but thanks none the less.
  14. How can I set this up? because it seems my old RAM was actually better than the one I added (higher frequency). I'd assume by tuning the frequency the voltage should also decrease, but do you have any idea on how to tune these things?
  15. Hi Community, I got an issue with my PC. I started running out of RAM (even my Firefox needs about 1.5GB in itself) while playing some games (ex: Modded Minecraft) so I decided to upgrade from 8GB to 16GB by adding 2 more 4GB sticks to my existing setup. However, even though the RAM is detected by both CPU-Z and Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 64-bit (Though windows says only 7.99 are useable), I am unable to use them. Both are G.Skill Ripjaw, but I only found out through CPU-Z that the new sticks are a different make and that they are slower, use less voltage and are ranked as single channel by CPU-z. Currently CPU-z also says that my memory is running on single channel. My specs are as follows: Motherboard: AsusTek P7P55D (apperantly should support 16GB of RAM) OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (Service Pack 1) Memory: 2x G.Skill Ripjaw F3-17000CL11-4GBXL (my old and current RAM) and 2x G.Skill RipJaw F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL (My new Cards) GPU: Zotac Gefore GTX 650 Ti Boost CPU: Intel Core i7 860 (Codename Lynnfield) HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA100 ATA Any help is really appreachiate, as I will have to try and send the RAM back if it is no use to me (Amazon 2 week policy). Thanks in advance, Daniel H. Edit: After Scrounging the Web for more info on similar issues, I found that my Resource monitor Reports that it has reserved half of my memory for "Hardware" (8201 MB).
