  1. Well, I removed it from the boot start up so I guess that the safest way to keep all my documents and don't have it try to sync all the time.
  2. Thanks, the issue is that save folders is also used for temporary files (on Sims and Civilization VI) so it defeats the purpose to use OneDrive to try to sync the savegames on both PCs.
  3. Yeah, I tried several things. It looks like the Night Color is on even if it's not. If I activate Night Color, it become almost orange. So yeah, I think I have a weak blue display... And now I tormented because I don't know if I try to return it just to get a worse unit. The device is great but the display isn't. I'm a bit disappointed, I thought I'd purchase the best ultrabook of 2020 but now, each time I open Chrome, I'm just disappointed. I guess I shouldn't trust Youtube reviewers after all, lesson learnt I guess.
  4. Hello, sorry, I have another question. With my new laptop, my daughter wanted to play Sims on this new device. After noticing that Sims doesn't offer cloud save support, I decided to use OneDrive since the Sims savegames are in "My Documents". Oh my, what an error I made... First, the game use the Save folder to put temporary files so OneDrive is always try to sync all those files. Moreover, my other games got their config files all messed up because my laptop screen and desktop screen aren't the same resolution. Today, I wasn't able to run Civ because it was set up to 1440p, so I couldn't even hit the "Apply" in the GUI. Anyway, found the file with the resolution within it and fix it but still, I won't change it every time I change PC. So now I want to remove OneDrive from both computers. From what I understand, if I unlink both PCs, it should be alright and stop syncing all the time. But I read so many nightmare stories about removing OneDrive that I'm not too sure what to do to unlink and remove OneDrive. I won't need it and if I want to backup something, I'll probably just use my USB drives and Google drive. OneDrive is too interlinked within the OS to my liking. I guess I'm too used to old DOS file system, I don't fit well with new OSes. So do you have any tips for me ? Thanks a lot for your help.
  5. Yeah I know, but the moment I boot it up the first time, I notice it right away, it was yellow. I change a few settings on the RGB values and it is better. But colors aren't great, I guess my Surface screen was just better... I still think it just requires a calibration from someone who knows its colors.
  6. I think it is, but I'm not too sure where I can change that. Dell got its thing, Intel got its thing and Windows got its thing as well. No surprise they override themselves all along.
  7. Curiously, I played Civ VI this afternoon and colors were great... Did Chrome decided that white is now yellowish?
  8. Here you go, though it's not really evident on the picture. It's more when I'm on a white webpage, like Google Search. Daughter's Macbook got night color though.
  9. Hi ! I purchased a Dell 9310 two weeks ago and I can't fix the yellow tint that the display have. I'm wondering now if I should try to return it to get another one (it's a refurbished unit). Though, I see several people mentions that issue with that model so I wonder if it's just the "norm". If it's the case, changing the laptop for another one won't do it. I have also a Dell monitor that did had very bad colors out of the box so I wonder if I can simply fiddle with RGB settings to get a great display. I mainly purchased that laptop for the 500 nits display so it's a bit of a bummer to purchase that premium laptop to have a yellow screen... Any help will be welcome, I don't know if I must return it or not, moreover that totally new model is now the same price of the refurbished that I got 2 weeks ago. Thanks a lot.
  10. "I think 1440p is kinda overkill for 24". It's very subjective though so you might not agree." Actually, I was looking for a FullHD@144hz but none fits on my desk.
  11. I have only one monitor. Currently Syncmaster T220. I wish I could put the 1070 on good use. What if I drop the resolution to fullhd, will it still display great or distorted?
  12. Hello, I look around for monitors lately since I got a new PC with a GTX1070. The best monitor seems to be the Dell S2417G but before pulling the trigger, I have a few questions that you might be able to answer: - Is the GTX1070 is strong enough to run 1440p at 144hz? - Otherwise, is Gsync will help it to keep it steady? - I guess Gsync isn’t mandatory right now as the GPU is powerful for current games but in a few years, it will allow to keep fluidity as far as I understand (I kept my current PC for almost 10 years so I guess it worth investing on a good monitor), am I correct? - Is 1440p is overkill for 24 inches ? I got limited space - What about the colors? It seems IPS is way better display, is there any IPS 144hz on the way ? Thanks a lot
  13. Well, I might just buy the Dell s2417dg and got everything at best. And it fits on my desk. Still, it's quite expensive, though I don't change often. Edit: I would like to know if I'll get any advantage from gsync right now or it's just used when the GPU have hard time keeping the framerate?
  14. I'm not sure I can do another topic so hopefully, someone will be able to answer me here I was wondering what I should do with my GFX1070, I'm not too sure which I should prioritize ? Framerate or Resolution ? I play some shooters (Overwatch and I'll get BF1) but I'm an old gamer, I don't have the reflex anymore to play on the competitive side. Mostly, I play 4X games like Civilization or RPGs like Witcher or Bioware stuff. So I guess I should go for 1440p over 144hz, am I right ? Moreover, I have my current PC since almost 10 years now so I guess as the games will require more, I'm not sure the GPU will be able to keep on delivering 80-100fps+ in 2-3 years. At this point, I guess it's where gsync could come handy, but before that? Since I don't plan to change PCs every 2-3 years, should I go for better monitor with a better resolution or just buy a normal 1080p@60fps and wait for the gsync monitors drops in price in the coming years? Sorry for wall of text/question, I'm just not sure what I should aiming for with the GTX1070. Thanks a lot!
